Bad~Boy#17
In the past few days 2 guys added me to their msn. They said that they are random guys GTAF. One is (nick) Torekk and the other is Peter. (didn't give msn's because It's forbiden) They asked me if I could test their new GTA SA trainer they programed. I accepted and they send me their trainer. After running it, I noticed that the program opened a DOS window and started searching taskmanager. When the program find it, It shut down my explorer and starting a deleting process. I quickly restarted my comp so no harm was done, but I warn other members of this site, if you have their trainer, don't use it ! This is not a lie. I can show you a pic. of the application. And Merry X-mass !
BigGamer
I think you're Torekk. And I imagine this would be better suited in the SA or modding forums.
Otter
Torekk? Isn't he that dude who hangs out in the Vehicles section, smokes drugs, and carouses with loose women? No, I'd never deal with him.
Ryan
Good thinking for shuting your computer down imediatley Mabee the mods should investigate this.
Primer43
It's your fault honestly, why the hell would you download something from someone you don't know? The mods can investigate who they wish, but anyone with an ounce of common sense will not let this happen to them.
Digïtál £vîl
You opened a video file with a .exe extension or something? How stupid do you have to be? If it isn't normal video format, don't touch it. edit: My bad, I thought you had said TRAILER. Not Trainer. I honestly wouldn't test anything from anyone you don't know. Primer43
What's your point? GTAF is a large community, and you don't know him personally.
Torcidas
Speaking of people sending you random sh*t, am I the only that gets people sending me some sort of explanation for a picture and a .zip file over MSN? I know its some sort of spyware, but hell, I haven't a clue what that sh*t is. Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
WalkerBoh
It's a conspiracy. To steal your social security. They get your adress, track you down, and rape you. Edited December 25, 2007 by WalkerBoh

I get your drift, but he was from GTAF (at least that was his statement) Did you check his credentials on GTAF? I think not. That's where you faltered. You had an option of searching his profile on GTAF and finding out how good a member he really is. Btw, here's your man Torekk - a newbie on the forum. gtamodder
Somebody once wanted me to try out this mod for San Andreas, he sent me it and i installed it and nearly fuc*ed by computer and it picked up a virus, and it wouldn't let me delete it, and avast couldn't fix it. I had tried like for a week to fix it, but no so i got a new computer. I was thinking of creating a virus and sent it to them, but i thought not. So you should never add people to MSN That you don't know.
Sixdust
What a f*cking tool. Man, all I got to say to you is that I am from GTAF, and you will download and run anything I send you? Lol, ok. You need to first apply for your computer license to your left, and head down that series of tubes to the right for your internet license. I could be remotely installing crap on your computer, and you wouldn't even know it, nor would you be able to ever find me. Next time use your head and scan the files before you double click any of the files. /runs off to infect some files Edited December 26, 2007 by Sixdust
DemonKing
downloading a .exe from someone you don't even know personally no way! although i've noticed a nasty virus going round on msn where some of my contacts send me a message saying "hey wanna see my pictures before i send them to facebook" and they try to send me a folder, which obviously i decline. but this happen to any one else? technomm
I think this is where Vista wins.As it is so cautious on such risky matters and issues (several) warnings.I haven't used Vista yet, that's all what i've read here and there. Not to start a Vista blah blah debate tho.

If you had vmware workstation you could just open the infected exe on your virtual operating system and laugh at it, vmware is great for testing questionable files.
