The image has been put onto a PC so it's not going to be 100% accurate to when you come to play the game on a TV. Just remember, the game will be continuously moving and fast flowing, so it'll be realistic when all frames are streaming. It's like pausing a dvd it will not be 100% clear. Even though GTA 4's graphics are great. Do you have any idea how amazing the graphics for GTAIII - SA were for an open world game?!? Anyone who ever complained about old GTA graphics doesn't know sh*t about how advanced it was. There was no reason to complain at all, those games went above and beyond. They couldn't get much better. This is a man i can talk to! This is not CoD4,where there is one level rendert,or just one place. It's a full city,so the graphics are great for GTA! Deuce Deuce Posted December 24, 2007 Share Posted December 24, 2007 Although in terms of its graphics, GTA IV won't be on par to Call of Duty 4 (as quite rightly stated by JohnnyD), I wouldn't under-estimate Rockstar in their technique to bringing a smile upon your face when you realise, "Damn, I was so wrong about my assumptions!" Here's my theory: Rockstar aren't making out the screenshots to look visually mind-blowing. Now this is interesting, because a lot of people were complaining about the beta screenshots prior to SA's release. How did it turn out in the end compared to the screenshots? Even better. I was forced to buy the collector's edition of COD4 (no more regular ones) and in the dvd the guy actually said that he had to turn off all the effects for one level in order for the one you were on to work. He was talking about the big ship. The part when you get on and take everyone out is one whole level...and the part where you make an escape is an entirely new level. If R* made their games like this, they could possibly have a game better looking then COD4, GOW, Drake's Fortune, and Heavenly Sword, but R* thrive on freedom and don't like to constrict their players into going down a completely set and narrow path like say...Halo 3. Ceedot spends all his time insulting people and trying to make people look stupid. A pity, really. People complaining about the graphics need to realize that, these are still screens of the game in it's beta and current form, as such there is no fancy things edited into the screenshots and there will be a few graphical errors. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted December 25, 2007 Share Posted December 25, 2007 It looks like the level of detail kicking in that is replacing the closer up detailed buildings with lower detailed versions otherwise the game would come to a grinding halt.
