What's The First Thing You'll Do After The Intro?

Assuming I get off my lazy ass and save some money to get a 360 so I can actually get the game at all, the first thing I'd do after the intro crap is take it all in. Niko'll probably get bored as hell as I make him stand there while I swing the camera around and take in all of the environment around me.

 

After that I'll likely do some prodding into the physics and combat systems. Most probable outcome: going to the top of the Empire State and seeing if I can push some poor bloke off.

 

Then maybe, just MAYBE I'll do some missions.

Why do people feel inclined to beat someone up, shoot a cop straight away etc?

You cant be serious right? Thats the first thing many of us will do including myslef, is beat or fire at some police/peds. That's Gta man. Missions are great, but I'm not planning in jumping staight into them.

First things first i will definately take the next day off of work. As a tradition i will punch a hooker in the face, to test out the fighting system. And then i will just walk around the city. See what buildings i can go inside. And just look at the beauty of the city. See how the peds interact with eachother. Then i will jack a parked car, to see how the animation looks. Flick through the radio stations, find a nice song and cruise. Get some speed to see how the sense of speed is. Try to find Carney island and see if we can get on the roller coaster.

 

And run redlights, to prove all the people who think traffic laws will be in, wrong. After about an hour or 2 of messin around. I will start the missions. Cause im sure we wont be able to do everything in the city yet, until we unlock it through some missions. And after i unlock some features, i will (free) roam some more. After 5-8 hours of playing the game, i will hop online to see how the online multiplayer is. Rinse and Repeat for another 3 years, or whenever the next GTA comes out.

Ill get into the starter missions that they make you to do, and then maybe explore for a bit, do a bit of mayhem but not otehr the top and then ill do mroe missions, depending how i feel ill 3 roam around palces when i dont have time for missions.

Yeah, I'll probably take in the environment and see how peds act, how cars are and stuff, then I'll ruin two peoples days by punching someone in the face and stealing someones car and see how people react to that.

And then just explore like a madman until i speed off to the next mission.

the first thing i'll do is have a very civilized drive around the city; no running lights or speeding. once i take everything in and get acquainted, it's killing time.

Like previously mentioned I'll test out the physics with some hand-to-hand combat, and maybe some shootouts. After that I'll test the carjacking and drive around town to get a feel of the city.

It's a very unfunny/unclever/stupid feature of this board. I'm not sure why it's like that.

 

I'll probably do the same sort of thing as you, although I'll probably grab a car after that and run some people down to see the physics engine at work.

I'll do what I did with GTA SA: Steal a car, hit a few peds to see if they bounce, then try all the codes from GTA VC (and SA). I was so happy when I found out the VC codes worked, especially when I tried the "Spawn Rhino" code. If all goes like when I tried SA, I'll spend a good deal of time destroying things in my flying tank , and otherwise doing nothing. Eventually I'll reset the console and start the story mode (no codes for that).
