This Faustin character sure looks a lot like Nikko (in my opinion) except he looks much older like he is in his mid-late 50's, where as Nikko is in his mid 30's (34 or 35)

 

 

Surely these 2 are related.

Oh yeah cool the tattoo is pretty covered up though, it looks like a dice. Hard to tell for sure.

The guy is on the box art, but his art is mirrored horizontally. Could be F. Austin though. It says Faustin...

I know I saw the same image of him on the official boxart but what I mean is, is this image supposed to be of a new character or Is it Nikko himself? That is what I am confused about.

Nah i dont think thats Niko. However, they could possibly related. Also the guy in the club who says "Hay Niko. Move up", ladies" he looks more like Niko. I bet they are related perhaps it could be Romans father? He said it like he hasn't seen him in a while, but was expecting him.

Not sure if anyone noticed it yet but in the shot of niko firing a hand gun, there's a white sign in the background that says 'DON'T BLOCK THE BOX FINE + 2 POINTS'.

 

I'm guessing that means we may have some sort of driving license points system for minor traffic offenses.

No. I'm Sure its there for detail purposes only. Doesn't mean peds wont

get punished though.

Well that screenshot is old, it was submitted for a Play preview in June (?) I think around that time anyway. So basically that shot is likely from a very early build of the game. I disagree that it looks like a Playstation 2 game but the graphics in that shot do like quite blurry.

 

I think by the time we get the game the visuals will be more amazing than we think, these recent screens may be outdated already, I bet Rockstar are still improving the graphics now.

 

The game is looking incredible though, and apart from the early Playstation titles (which looked terrible) I never really thought the Playstation 2 installments looked awful either, like many have said.

I wish, but I think we get to see the artwork and new screens just because we're not getting the release date for Christmas. I like how Niko's shirt sleeve is visible through is jacket. Small detail, but it makes it seem more authentic to me.

Now you say that, I assumed they weren't actually real. They just look kind of dumb, as though R* had added them purposefully to remind the player that they had to follow the rules of the road (perhaps only when police are around) almost like a mini-game it itself.

 

But it turns out they do actually have them in NY.
