I enjoyed it up until the wife was revealed to have super powers. The second half was a clusterf*ck of inconsistencies and shallow, overcomplicated plot. I just liked it when he was an asshole trying to improve his public image.

I don't think this film warrants the hype it got. It was enjoyable, but parts of it just didn't fit together at all. The acting was good, but I feel the story didn't exactly 'blend' together with the plot twists. For example, when Ray's wife revealed she was some kinda superhero too, he doesn't react in a way that you'd expect; he was too accepting towards what she'd said. And I don't get the deal when she 'dies' and Ray and his son are at the same level of sadness/shock if they'd overcooked the dinner or some sh*t. Maybe I just didn't pay enough attention to those parts, but that's how I feel.

 

Other than that, I did like it. Wouldn't watch it again though.
