gta_sa.exe encountered a problem

damnet! this is a new game and i've only played it a couple of times

i've tried deleting the .set files and i've also ran it in windows 98 compatibility which worked for a little while but now i'm back to the same errer message [gta_sa.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.]

 

my specs are:

 

Intel Celeron M 2.0GHz

2GB of RAM

128MB Intel® GMA 950 Video Card

Windows XP Home Edition SP2

Do you have any mods or anything installed? That might be the problem. Try reinstalling your game and see if that helps.

nope no mods installed i've tried unistalling it and re-installing and still the same problem

I've checked your system meets the requirements so its not that.

 

Um wow im stumped. Uselly when something like this happens to players they have mods installed. Um, could you have acidentley deleted something? I dont know what to tell you other then take the game back and get another.

 

Ok this is the last thing I can think of. Do a system restore to back to before the game started acting up. This worked for me once when I acidentley deleted a file.
