You believe your editing software (Microsoft Movie Maker) is unprecedented. You believe people see what is to come, and feel honored to view it. This, however is far from the case. You do not have a production company. You are not in affiliation with anyone else's production company. You do not have license to a business, label, or royalties of your work. Your opening credits and 2-minute walk-arounds of your car, location, etc... are unnecessary. Your 2 minute opening of Solja-boy, DMX, or Metallica- only to cut to complete silence when your video starts, is embarrassing. How can you advertise your "Tom J Productions" company when you have one video that is 3 minutes long, as is about you explaining how to get free cheeseburgers by placing a hair under your bun in McDonalds? The kind of people searching for, "Fat kids falling off awnings", are not the type of people you want to impress. A guy racing a lambo in his ferrari has no opening. He goes right to it. He delivers. You have to spend 190 seconds doing walk arounds of your civic, first, explaining that's it not just a normal civic because it has a drop in K&N Filter, and lighter pulleys. I can do a walk around of a civic right now. I just gotta hop down to Publix and it's a f*cking gallery. You do not need to advertise for a company that has no income, web-site, or respect of anyone other than your sister who watched you make the video and thinks you must be a real internet connoisseur because you can fade from picture to picture of your friends dominating at Rockband. I think that this paragraph sums it all up for most youtube video makers, and even the people who make flyers for missing animals and make greeting cards with Microsoft Office. It's the most simple tool to most of us, but the ones who make it find it amazing. The ability to create something that back in 1994 we had to pay someone 100 dollars to make 25 greeting cards (that person probably laughed hard back then), is awesome. There are some who have talent and show their talent within the video regardless the quality of it. But video to me is a form of communication, and obtainment of knowledge throughout the world. Besides, Movie Maker can be used in certain ways that you don't need the background or any of that nonsense. Just don't watch it if it has that crap, and you're done.
