TheDude5000
Yeah, hi..... I think one day I'd like to have a hot tub in my house. I know normally they're meant for the outside, but it's very common for them to be used indoors as well. Even in something smaller like an apartment living room, I've seen people who have done that. The only real concern is not spilling water and totally ruining your carpet. Even then, you can place some sort of plastic covering over the area just in case. But is there a danger to the skin if you say, fall asleep in a hot tub? I mean after a while in the shower your fingertips get all wrinkley, but then again you can just keep your arms out of the water. What about the rest of your body? And is anyone else considering this or what?
Mav.
A topic about hot tubs? Are you taking the piss?
Hayden Stasven
Yeah I'm not currently like a millionaire so I don't have any plans to build an indoor hot-tub. I have one out the back next the sauna and across the yard from the pool but inside the house? Sooooreee Mr. Richierichness. I don't actually know, I've wondered that myself at times. guilty.by.association
It sounds pretty cool, are you serious?
Iminicus
Just place tiles around it. Saves the carpet, looks cooler, easier to clean, and doesn't require plastic crap. I would suggest a hot tub in the bathroom. You don't wanna have to walk to far from bed sex to shower/hot tub sex.
Saggy
Heh, it worked well in Coming to America. You'll probably wind up with a lot of mold from all of the humidity, but I wouldn't worry about falling asleep in it. If you're in an apartment complex, I'd make sure the floor is even strong enough to support the weight of a hot-tub. About the humidity, the trick is to keep it cold outside the tub via the air conditioner, so it doesn't get all humid and like a f*cking jungle in there. It would be pretty stylish, but if you're going to have a hot-tub in doors, you might as well go for one of the tub-models that have jets. They're not really full sized hot tubs you know, just really big bath tubs. Probably a little more economical because most hot-tubs are built to go outside anyway, where as these are meant to install into a pre-existing bathroom. TheDude5000
Nah dude, it's not about style. I just imagine maybe inviting friends over, have a few cigars. Just relaxing out, that's what it's about. The general public conception of a hot tub is something only a really rich person has, but today hot tubs are very affordable and the portable ones have all the equipment housed in so there's no need for ground installation. Like I said the only real problem I can see would be the floor getting ruined, whether it be a stained carpet or crashing through the ceiling into the neighbors home below. But other than that, it not's such an unachievable goal.
Exkabewbikadid
The only time I've seen any indoor hot tub... And we all know what that led to... So I would say be prepared for warped furniture and terrified Japanese people if you have any around.
TheDude5000
Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about! I don't use my cabinets, and I don't know any Japanese people. Not to mention there's no carpeting in that building.

makeshyft
I have always preferred outdoor ones, 5000. There's something gnarly about seeing the steam rise from it on a cold night, and feeling needles on your skin when you get in. Plus smoking a fine cigar in an outdoor tub won't cause your carpet and curtains to reek. I suppose it all depends on what 'outside' actually looks like. An ex of mine had one with a view of a river - very nice on nights the moon is strong. Off-topic: I wonder if Allen has a hot tub.

He's the Assman, after all. Ok, maybe I won't let them in there. They'd probably splash and kick up water and f*ck up the floor anyway. The one I'd want is one that isn't too flashy or overly elaborate, like the blue one Kramer has in that pic. This would also mean it's cheaper too, since it doesn't like marble designs and sh*t like that. But it'd have to be durable too. No, but he's dissolving in one. In hell's kitchen, no doubt. Well, he's not a happy camper, let's just say that.

And no, it's not. It's a pain and in the winter, standing there with a hose to re-fill it is something to procrastinate doing for months.

Saget
One of my teachers once told a story of when he went to a motel with his wife and there was a hot tub in the bathroom. The tub was cracked and the water leaked on the whole room, that had carpet btw. Question: do you really have carpets all over your house? I don't. It's all tiles, not even wood floor. It keeps the heat away and it's easier to clean |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|
