epoxi
I've found loads of replica luxury chrome wheels (similar to Lowenhart LDR) on American sites for under £300. <--Lowenhart LDR Question is, where can I get my hands on these in the UK!? It's hard enough to find expensive ones, let alone replicas/cheap versions. It's best if they're 18" or smaller, but I'm sure most suppliers that say they only do 20" and upwards can order them in. Any feedback appreciated, thanks.

SHXC
What exactly do you want to put them on? You... You can't be serious? Right? On topic: You don't have a car, Yet you want to buy some wheels? So when you DO get a car, And find out they dont actually fit, What're you going to do then? Unless they're universal fit which it doesn't exactly look like.
stretch.
Hahaha, universal fit my foot, Do they have 12 or 15mm full or part threaded bolts? 3 - 8 bolt arrangement? Do you understand how to change your tracking? Roll your arches etc. All this is part of adding huuge tyres to cars that aren't designed for it. Best of luck. Guybrush Threepwood
hahaha. Gotta make sure they spin though. I actually found plastic spinners once in a supermarket somewhere in Portugal. Funniest hub caps I ever did see. I just googled it, first result: Amazon. I love how it says in the title 'Plastic Spinner Wheel Cover, Chrome'. Like plastic magically turns into chrome. epoxi
Fake Chromes on a Civic? Please don't keep the stereotype going. Er...I never posted this topic...it had nothing to do with me... ...someone must have...yeah...hacked into my account. OH MY GOD I LOOK LIKE A RICER I was pretty tired when I posted this...Moderator please delete before I enter the hall of shame. Roll your arches etc. All this is part of adding huuge tyres to cars that aren't designed for it. I appreciate your attempt to try and scare me, but adapting the wheel for the length of the bolt isn't that complicated, modifying arches is only for crazy people (which I suppose I am at the moment), but the bolt arrangement is vital. stretch.
Wasn't intended to scare mate It's just something you've gotta think about! you say that, but when you buy spacers and kits, you've gotta be weary! One of my colleagues had to get spacers to fit on his new tricked up rims, after doing about 100 miles he realised 3 of his 4 nuts had sheared and only his locking nut was still on. But yer, as for rolling your arches, if you're thinking of putting chromed wheels on the civic, you'd prolly have to, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't that gen civic roll mainly on 14's? Well, unless you want a veneer of rubber or really really really small chromed rims. Anyways, like the other I'd advise that you actually get the car before thinking of getting some rims ready, and instead of crap chromes look at something like wolf's. I didn't realise that the 5 door only has 14"s: they look bigger in real life, must be the body styling. Ah well, any suggestions for a VIP car/car with VIP credentials with low insurance? I probably wouldn't get it anyway, but it's nice to dream. The reason I came up with the ridiculous idea of VIP-ing a Civic is because I saw what VIPStyle Society in Malaysia could do with their humble Kias and Kei cars: it's definately worth a look. More importantly is how they can do it on a shoe string budget, but I guess here in England everyone's pretty well off, so there's no such thing as budget mods...apart from those disgraceful spinning hub caps. P.S. Most of the costs in the UK are labour: so getting, for example a body kit custom made would cost nothing in Malaysia compared to the thousands we'd pay here. The drawback would be the car's safety; but being a 17 year old it doesn't matter much to me. Edited December 24, 2007 by epoxi
lurchseesu420
I know I'm a bit late the party, but you would also have worry about offset/backspacing. A wheel tucked too far in can rub the struts and suspension pieces and a wheel tucked too far out can rub the fenders, regardless of tire size. Suction Testicle Man
Is 'VIP' some new codeword for 'looking like a tw*t'? If very important people even chose to all drive around in the same sort of car, I doubt it would have circular cheese graters stuck to its steel rims so poorly designed even Ikea would reject them. Trying to make a car that's primarily designed for driving a family of four and their collection of empty Evian bottles and used scratch-cards around Crawley look like a car that would escort Mariah Carey and her fat arse to a generic awards ceremony, will only result in a car that reflects upon the driver's penis, or lack thereof - whatever it looks like. If you have a sh*t car, embrace it for what it is. Only a Rolls Royce can be a Rolls Royce - if you haven't got one, don't pretend you have. If I see a bloke drive by in a mk1 Micra that sounds like a toad being sick and has more duct tape than glass for windows; I respect the fact that his car's character tells me his appearance doesn't mean a thing to him, because he's got better ambitions than pining after the girls from the local 6th form college because they'll rip off their underwear for the first wanker in a lowered Corsa that can get an Usher CD into their bowel-moving woofer system. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

Did anyone else hear about that group of chavs that were trying to jump over their friend (who was lying down) by driving fast over a humped bridge...but failed miserably? Maybe the woofer and amp weighed the car down too much.
