GTASA Problem

Okay, well I've just bought GTA SanAndreas...

Installed it.

Runs fine.

Problem is when playing its like I'm playing in fast-forward mode. literally I press forward and I just speed off, no I don't have the speed up cheat active or any other cheat active, I haven't used any cheats so far at all and its basically just playing like I'm in fast-forward mode, tryed the slow down cheat.. doesn't do a thing, HELP!

 

Play settings everything on high res 1680x1050

 

Specs, 4200+ AM2 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM, Sapphire 512 3870 PCI-E 2.0 GFX card, 790FX motherboard. I doubt its my PC specs problems. reinstalling the game to see if it helps, thank you anyone able to help me out

1. Run the game.

2. Alt+Tab to minimize.

3. Open Task Manager > Processes > gta_sa.exe

4. Right-click on gta_sa.exe > Set Affinity > Select only CPU 0.

5. Play the game now.

its like I'm playing in fast-forward mode.

I can't seem to recall how many times people have used this expression with computer specs that have the words "X2/dual/core/Duo". Is it popular nowadays? I guess it doesn't hurt to really state the truth from experience.

 

Anyway, the fix for this issue is to:

 

1. Download the AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core optimizer: http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_ty...ities/Setup.exe

2. Download the AMD Processor Driver: http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_ty...ities/setup.zip

3. Allow San Andreas to be run in Windows 98 compatibility mode.

4. Delete [.set] file.

5. Launch SA and turn ON Frame Limiter.
