Otter
Set up your case fans so you get a "wind tunnel" type vacuum - in from the front, then out the back. Then, buy (or make!) a filter for the front. That'll cut down on internal dust, for sure.

And does the size of the fans matter? I have a place for a fan in the front but it's covered by a door thing that doesn't look too good when it's open. If I put a fan on the side of the case (near the back) then another fan behind the case, it won't have the same effect, right? |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|
Otter
It'll be close enough for the women I roll with, provided the fan on the side is closer to the middle than the back. If it's right at the back, then you'll be lucky to cool off your power supply! But yeah, two 120mm fans would be groovy. With your stuff, because you're not doing any crazy overclocking. Just make sure one is pulling air in, and the other is expelling it, and keep the filter thin and clean, so you don't impede the airflow.

I think I know what to use for the filter And the fan place on the side of this case is near the back, not near the middle. I guess I can't place a fan on the front of the case because it would just be heavily obstructed - be it by the door thing or the hard drives... |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|

Otter
Haha. What's your case? Do you have room for a smaller fan, or pair of them, underneath your optical drive? You can then replace the stock bay cover with a grated one. Then you can just tape over the hole in the side of your case with packing tape from the inside. Under the floppy disk bays (yeah I have them) there's room for one big cooler. It's like a grid with places for screws. There are two grids on the side of the case, for fans. I'm gonna leave them like they are in case I don't place any fans there. |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|
