bman_triads Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 (edited) I just read in a post today that there is a 75% chance of you getting hit by a plane after you've exited a building that you've been in for a while. I just cant remember what post it was, who you said it. I think it might have been HolyGrenadeFrenzy (or whatever your name is), but i cant remember. It was Terminator-UK at the Gameplay section, in the WTF moments thread who said the above. I've heard many times from my friends and fellow GTA fans that they got his after they have been betting and wining lots of money from the ITB (Inside Track Betting). I have actually never been hit-oh wait on second though i have been hit, by a random rustler that flew into my Euros while I was up at Madd Dogg's mansion (Right near the road part where the go kart spawns). Well hear it I should say, I don't always see it happen but I'll see the remains. I'm still waiting for an AT400 crash, haven't seen that yet. It's always rustlers and beagles. Well I was driving up that mountain where you make the turn point, and thought I had to go up the area which was blocked off. I mean come on...if someone was under police protection I would assume the road to that area would be blocked off! But anyways, I drive up there for a while and start thinking "uhh...where the hell is this guy at?" So I pause the game, check the map. And I swear...as soon as I hit the start button again BOOOM! One of those damn planes crashed and killed me!! !!GC!! Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 This has been known for a very long time. I have seen countless numbers of them, but have only been hit twice. I seethem the most on Mt Chiliad. The weirdest one was from a plane/helicopter i have never seen before. I had just saved at the Doherty garage and then decided to go to the train station but as soo as i stood on the road i heard a giant explosion and then a few more followed after that. I looked to the left and saw the wreckage. I walked over to it and examined it. It looked so weird. It had two smallish propellors on either side of the pilots cabin but the body looked like liked a helicopter. I really want to identify this so can anyone post a guide that has pics of all of the helicopters and planes in SA so i can find it, Thanks. That seems to be the only thing in SA that i havnt driven/flown. Although the plane that i saw was far bigger than that, like twice as tall as CJ and as wide as a Hunter. Funny though My own story: Once I was doing Ceasar Vialapando and I spent almost all my money on a lowrider and as soon as I exit the garage BAM! a plane hits me Also this happened to me. R* should have done better. I think R* wanted to do planes crash. This is because sometimes planes that don't crash fly through trees and don't hit them. They have no collision with map objects. GTA Phreak Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 It's correct that the AI planes don't to seem to ever crash with trees, - but they definitely don't go through bridges, mountains, buildings, you etc. They will however effortlessly go through each other. Could it just be the awful AI? I can't believe that another thread like this has been made....but here it is. R* knew and left the poor spawning and plane crashes for an extra spin on things for fun.
