TheTruePiMs Posted December 20, 2007 Share Posted December 20, 2007 (edited) I just pick the news from the site www.gtagaming.com that shows 2 posters of GTA IV : (Copy the link, the direct link doesn't work) www.gtagaming.com/images/gtaiv/artwork/nikoposter.jpg www.gtagaming.com/images/gtaiv/artwork/jacobposter.jpg These two posters give a bit information : - "Wordite Street" in Algonquin - "Lorimar Street" in Algonquin - Being able to car-jack with a baseball bat (so maybe we can do it with others weapons) - The "Black 2007 Banshee" means that maybe in the game, it may have the 1986, 1992, 2001... version of one car !!! - Who is "Detective Moeller", is part of the game ??? Nico's face is seen in a screenshot yet but Jacob's face was never seen on screenshots, so I think it's not fake. To say this guy is wrong for pointing out an obvious geographical mistake is just irony... It lies directly south of Cuba and west of Haiti/The Dominican Republic. 90% of its population are descendents of slaves imported from west Africa during the slave trade (prior 1800.) Anything in the western hemisphere ( except maybe some Southern Pacific islands or the eastern tip of Russia) is considered America or the Americas. Therefore it would technically be appropriate to call a black person from Jamaica African American. Although I'm sure they would prefer to be called Jamaican in regards to their nationality, and black in reference to their color. It's disrespectful for people to call the United States just America, its a sweeping term that puts all the countries in the western hemisphere together. People in other American countries like Canada or Venezuela for example have their own national heritage that they are proud of, and it would be upsetting to me if it got shoved aside (hypothetically speaking) because everyone when they talked of the continent of America, was referring only to the United States. By simply calling the United States what it is... a group of united states, you can avoid disrespecting anyone. Its called the United States of America, keyword being "of." We are not America, we are the United States of it. Sometimes I wish more United States citizens would understand things like this. Perhaps than people abroad wouldn't think of us as such idiots. Also I'd like to say that popular speculation suggests that the black man with cornrows is Little Jacob, and although I agree... it hasn't been proven or documented by any official source otherwise.
