Enough. i'll unlock the topic when all my testers have a mod that works. Stop testing it, please, so i can stop reading 40 variations on "it doesn't work". i understand that.

 

It works for jostvice, whose system is similar to mine, and i re-compiled spookies speedo mod (also d3d9.dll) yesterday for 3nix, and we got that to work. it seems it has to do with the dll configuration (how i'm compiling the dll), rather than the actual code. In any case, the problem is on my end.

 

Current compatibility list (actual mod, not text-only dlls):

-DexX (Vista Home Premium Sp1 Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT)

-Jost_Vice (Vista Home Sp1 Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT)

-Morsolo (Vista Ultimate Sp1 Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX)

 

I need someone with XP to tell me if this works;

Text-only d3d9.dll

It works for H13N on Vista, but i haven't had any XP testers for it yet.

There's a lot of bugs in the version DexX is working on...

I just re-installed the game, so I'll have to go source my necessity mod pack so I can make everything look nicer (Modded).

I'll grab some really nice looking cars to to show off the mod for DexX smile.gif

 

On a more technical note:

  • There are currently some zBuffer issues that come up, screwing the games draw distance and texture drawing up.
  • Also the game decides to crash at random times, I have looked and I can't find the trigger that makes it crash, so for now, it is 100% random crashing.

Non of the reflections appear still, even the ancient fake cube maps version doesn't work.

Maybe it's because I'm on a 64-bit version of Vista...I don't know I guess I'll stick to ENB.

By doesn't work I don't mean it crashes I mean that the reflections aren't changed even by 1 pixel.

Technicalities

 

I've found the crashes to occur during daylight hours of the game.

I have crashed numerous times in numerous places during the day, but not once in the same places at night.

This could be an issue of something to do with the sun effects (Shadowing perhaps?)

Apparently DexX is on a x64 Machine, so that would mean your problem isn't the architecture. Which also means I have no clue wink.gif

Yea, i'm on a 64-bit machine, that shouldn't be a problem.

 

i updated the mod, based on the code from the text-only dll. If this doesn't get you ingame, i'll...have to try something else.

 

Try it AGAIN!

 

For the people who do have it working, all 4 of you afaik, you should be able to play with the frame limiter on or off. This isn't mentioned anywhere in the documentation.

My feedback on 0.3 pr :

 

It all works fine, sometimes it lags like hell. Looks like it has to do with places on our map where occluders are. I get an error message on process exit (after the game is exited) which we had in the past when first developing gostown dlls.

 

Else it's ok, refs are fast, sometimes a bit weird on some cars until you touch the car with CJ, then the ref changes.

DexX, I'll reinstall my San Andreas without any mods and with hoodlum exe.

The instalation it's fast, so I'll post here again after something like 15 minutes.

Yeah, I reinstalled the game and it works!But I'll need to make a new config, 'cause the normal config lag as hell and don't reflect anything(pypetipe 3)

I put pipetype to 0 but I still can't see any reflections.I disable real reflections and nothing happens!

Well...

 

*The real refs. work.

*It stopped crashing randomly when I changed reflection size to 256.

*All cars and some objects are very dark/black.

*LODs are dark blue.

*All textures with alphas dont show up (trees, fences etc.).

Okay, so its all objects which dont reflect that become black/dark.

 

The performance drop isnt very big for me (doesnt ever get below 25 fps).

Erm.. Same sh*t happens.. Black cars, no plants.. BTW, the videocard memory is 64 mb.. And i think it's 1.1 shader.. So somebody please help.

I though that most of this should work nicely on pre-shader cards, but oh well, here is result:

As you can see refs are working, but cars are dark-blue.

PS2 style refs just make cars appear absolutely black with only speclight working.
