McDodge34 Posted December 17, 2007 Share Posted December 17, 2007 Help, I have the 1.01 version along with a mod by spaceeinstein, I don't think it is related to the mod since I've removed it and the bug is still there with a normal version of the game, but I can't see the mission markers, like at the dock to export cars, I can't see the markers to get into the crane, and the marker were you have to place the car. EDIT: I've done it, nothing happened, the red markers seems to appear and disappear by themselves, I wonder why, really strange also the yellow markers do the same thing, every time I pass a save point, I must search for the exact door were to enter a house, casino or any place with a yellow or red marker, except the races are all with their normal red markers. OrionSR Posted December 17, 2007 Share Posted December 17, 2007 Is this problem specific to a saved game, or will starting a new game restore the markers to normal? The doors and mission circles occasionally disappear when I've been playing for a very long time, especially if it's been a long time since I've saved. Getting in or out of a vehicle sometimes clears up the problem temporarily. However, it seems like you have a similar problem only much worse, and it happens right away. If the markers doesn't disappear for me, then it is simply the mod's fault and so you have to uninstall it. I suspect this is unlikely, but if it is specific to your save, then please upload your save to http://gtasnp.com/ so I can add it to my glitch archive for future debugging. Zyo Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 (edited) I am bumping this because I am having the same problem. Red mission markers disappear so you can't find then to trigger missions ect. Yellow door markers disappear so you can't see which buildings are enterable. Markers on the HUD don't show up so you can't navigate to your destination. The markers/doors still work, you just cannot see them. I thought it was a corrupt save or some kind of glitch. I was playing thought the missions again and was in Venturas at the "find the mafia guy in the right ambulance" mission. Impossible without the markers. Anyway I started a new game and everything was fine until I got to Beach Party, where the problem had arisen again. I use Camhack and Timesync 1.81 I have a few cleomods. I have tried with and without these but the problem remains. Did anyone resolve or find an explanation for the disappearing markers? Thanks. edit Deleting the .set in the user files does not help. It is probably worth mentioning the markers (red and yellow) all function as normal in building interiors. Outside there is nothing. If you trigger the burglary sub-mission, the yellow door markers reappear. End it, and they vanish. Zyo Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 The save game is now totally corrupted. I went to play through the next mission which happened to be High Stakes, Low Rider. And the red mission start trigger was in place. Cool. Finished the race, went back to the grove, and all the markers are in place. So I thought it was "fixed". Went to save and after about a 1/2 second SA crashed to the desktop. Now reads SAVE GAME CORRUPTED in the save menu. Is it still worth uploading? I will look into the matter myself, but repairing save file glitches is not my expertise, so I can't promise anything. I am also facing the same problem that Girish faced. I don't have any time to pay special attention to this file, especially when I know I probably won't get it fixed. LOL. There has been no use of a save editor, but the main.scm is modded. I didn't mention this before as I did not see how it would matter so much but the more I think about it the more I think this is the cause. I will look into it over the next few days.
