W1ckeD-
@ Vanilla Shake I know it's not part of the III trilogy. But he said also that this is a stand-alone game. I don't know for sure if it means that it won't be a trilogy.
Vanilla Shake
@ Vanilla Shake I know it's not part of the III trilogy. No, I remember reading a preview where he stated that it wasn't part of The Trilogy. There's only been one trilogy in the Grand Theft Auto series so far. Grand Theft Auto IV is probably going to be the start of a completely new trilogy, with new characters, settings, etc., with little to no relation to the Grand Theft Auto III Trilogy. This isn't going to be the last Grand Theft Auto game, and it only makes sense to continue with the supposed new trilogy.
GTAPS3
If Micro$oft buys them i'll stop buying gta. Microsoft has enough money.
Nineteen71
Take-Two owns the Grand Theft Auto IP, if Rockstar "breaks" away from T2 they can't make GTA games no more. Even if they do decide to break away and can't make the GTA games no more, who is to say they won't or can't make a "GTA Wannabe" - and who better to make a game like that than the original creators? So It wouldn't end up being a wannabe game.. It'd just be GTA without the GTA name.
Dusse
I hope either EA or Microsoft sign them. Of course with the demand of letting them decide by theirself of what and how to do their games. EA have made lots of amazing games lately (FIFA08, NHL, NFS: PS, Crysis etc) and I belive that they would be great for GTA. Microsoft got loads of money and of course that would help in developing, the negative part though is that it wouldn't be realesed to other consoles..so probably EA would be best. Vanilla Shake
EA has been the death of many franchises. Should they get a shot at the series, it's over. Very, very true. The only games I enjoyed that EA published are the Battlefield games.

Just asking out of pure curiosity NFS, Def Jam (Lol at Icon), Most of the games they release yearly, its just rehashed with a new year slapped on it, Medal of Honour etc. Could go on, but I won't. secksyjames
Contracts can be renewed. I don't see them splitting from Take-Two anytime in the near future.
doomdiver_16
Whatever happens I personaly hope it is not acquired by MS. I love playing gta with a sony controller they just feel better to me and I don't want to be forced into buying a second console. However I accept the fact that it is quite likely as MS has more money than sony, ubi and even EA and they seem to be on a campagn to buy as many good devs as they can. Best case scenario would be R* and T2 renew their license.

ieatyourface
EA's most dissapointing game this year was probably Sim City Societies. It licks buttfudge. And it's even more dissapointing, considering it came from the same people who made the hugely successful Sims games (Maxis).

When Midnight Club LA releases it's going to set the standard for next gen street racing games. It will make NFS look a like piece of junk. Which it is anyway. GHouse
If ea does make a good game let me know because when the make a game there is a problem usually they come out with a patch or two but those new patches create new problems then they make a new game with the same problems from the previous game they release a patch either there are new problems or the old ones are not fixed it is a vicious cycle I don't want to see R* fall in. So i dont see what the fuss is about, EA or Sony, or MS, it doesnt really change the actuall game. Well, actually, it does in a way. Like say for example, MS bought R*. That would make you Sony fanboys and upstanding PS3 owners who don't say "Xbox sucks RoFL !!11!!!eleven"(not ALL Sony fans are fanboys) have to make you buy an Xbox360, and different system, different specs.
