One Piece, Could also please make the Ghost, I made a save file, witch I will Upload on GTAG soon, for III, it replaces Speeder that Spawns at Francis airport,

Ghost is same as Predator so if you completed the Predator, just remove the LCPD Markings.

Why don't you do it yourself?

 

1)Using Spark/IMGTool/other IMG editing tool, open "gta3.img" and export both "predator.dff" and "predator.txd".

 

2) Rename to "speeder.dff" and "speeder.txd" respectively.

 

3) Open "speeder.txd" with TXD Workshop. Export the LCPD markings as images (PNG works well).

 

4) Open your exported image in Photoshop, erase the markings until it's just a blank, transparent image. Save it.

 

5) Go to TXD Workshop again and replace the "markings" image with your blank image. Save your speeder.txd.

 

6) Open "gta3.img" and look for the default "speeder.dff" and "speeder.txd". Replace them with the "speeder.dff" and "speeder.txd" you created earlier.

 

7) Open a GXT editing tool. Here you will change the name "Speeder" to "Ghost" so that when you enter the boat it will show the correct name.

 

There. All done.

Well... I don't have Photoshop... Can it be done with Paint or Gimp?

 

But I actually meant the ACTUAL Boatt, It's the Edited Save file,

I have Both Speeder AND Ghost in-game, It's just replaces the spawn place of the vehicle.

If you get what I mean...

It will work with Gimp. The procedure I listed is how to make OnePiece's Predator into the Ghost, then put it in Speeder's place.

 

Now, what you're saying is you want the default Ghost spawning in the default Speeder's place?

 

 

1) Export speeder.dff and txd, ghost.dff and txd.

2) Switch around the names of the two DFFs, then the name of the two TXDs.

3) Open gta3.img, search for the four files and replace them with what you have exported and renamed.

4) Open american.gxt and switch around the Speeder and Ghost names.

5) Open carcols.dat and switch around the colors of the Speeder and Ghost.

6) Now you have a boat that looks like a Ghost and says "Ghost" when entered, but is named "speeder" in the game files. The other boat will look like a Speeder and say "Speeder" when entered. But in the game files it's called "ghost".

7) Some other Speeders in the game will also look like Ghosts, including the ones used in missions.

 

If you release your savefile, and the one who downloads it does not have a modded GTA3, the Speeder and the Ghost will remain as default. They must first do this procedure to switch them around.

Yes Ill release it pretty much as soon as the perennial is done, theres a few other things I need to tidy up but Ill probably finish it all in the gap between the peren and the coach. Yes Ill most likely have an .exe installer, I need someone on here who knows how to make it though, Ive never done it before. Also, the coach is nearly done. Pics in game soon.

Well... you've said someday that the pack will include extra non-III car (Phoenix?). Was the idea scrapped?

I manage to transfer my 2GB mod into a 666MB with many options available for the users to browse the installing how they want without giving that uninstallation .exe, yet you need to set up this option though their codes. Inno Setup is very flexible. [sAK*]KING_OF_SA member request how to make an exe and it work well for him as well.

Don't get me wrong, the HD pack will still be awesome even without Phoenix, but it would look so good in high quality, and definitely It'd be a great addition to the pack.

Forgot about that. Im not sure I have the energy to add even one more car to this pack right now, maybe Ill save it for a rainy day in the future.

On a lighter note, I'm willing to do an installer, as I remember having some installer creator tools, the only problem is basically this will over-write your default txd.img and gta3.img, I also need to figure out how to make it have options for the beta skins and camo skins

That could work, yeah. Would be faster than trying to flip my tits with figuring out that crap.

 

Though, it will still replace your GTA3 Img. But maybe I'll make a version that is Xbox Convert mod compatible (because that sh*t is awesome).

 

But, if none of that floats your fancy, just use G-Img and literally drag and drop all the TXDs/DFFs into your GTA3 and TXD imgs.

You could just use GTA Mod Installer for the time being, that is atleast an installer but you will just need to script all the cars.

Yeah thats probably a better idea. Ill probably include it in the files just to save people the hassle.
