I suppose yes. Even if you made it a child of the boot dummy, it still wouldn't fly off when you broke the boot lid off...and it would just swing about in mid-air.

yeah it would work in gta4 only, not any of the III series. maye in SA but it would be a lot of effort.

Nah, I don't think you can in SA. When I tried adding decals to a door as an extra, they stayed swinging about even though the door itself had fallen off.

 

When I put te optional spoiler on the Super GT, I just permanently sealed the boot closed (i.e. attached to chassis) to avoid any confusion. Sacrifices some damagability for variety.

Anyway, there isn't much of a choice, the vehicles that are left are: RC Bandit, Dodo, Ghost, Reefer, Fire Truck, Rhino, Coach, Mr. Whoopee, Perennial, Trashmaster and Speeder.

I just registered ´cuz i wanted to say how OH-MAH-GAWD-GREAT these cars are.

You really have the eye for detail while retaining simplicity.

 

Now, after praising your work, i have to report some problems i have with your HD PACK #1:

 

1 Prob: After i put in the HD Wheels (the wheels.dff) (yes, i installed everything else before EXCEPT the special cars like sabre turbo e.t.c)

the game crashes when it tries to load a dodo (like the 3 points at the airport where dodos are)

I tried some thoughts and even re-installed but in the end it only approved that the game (at least mine) cant handle your wheels.dff !

 

2 Prob: 2 Prob is your "particles.cfg". same prob as above, i leave it out=everythings fine. i install it, CRASH! but now it crashes at the loading screen,at 3%

or something, so pls fix it, if ya can and/or have the time.

 

except for these probs, everything works, BIG THX for great work and a i found under my sofa .

 

 

EDIT: I just found out that the particles.cfg from you and the original are a bit different from each other, like a different order of content and so on, maybe it is not thought for gta3, but accidentaly put in the pack without converting it?

there are a lot of problems with the old files right now especially the .dat and .ide and wheels files. When I finally release pack#3 everything will be reworked and all these bugs will be fixed.

Can ya make new Handlings for the Sabre Turbo in Pack #3? Cuz it uses the handling of the Deaddodo, but maybe you or someone else could provide us with a more fitting, unique handling?

If it's not too late, I really like this light design. If not that, then I think solid red would look best. I also think you should add chrome to the back as shown in the picture below and some chrome that runs along the bottom and over the wheel wells to make the car look a little fancier (kind of like this but reaching all the way to the bottom).

I also agree with this. The wheels do seem to stick out a bit too far.

Regarding the side lights, I say only add them if you can actually make them light up (maybe by setting them so they aren't affected by lighting or something since I'm sure you can't actually add the little light squares the game makes for the head lights and tail lights). Otherwise I don't think they should be there.

^Maybe, since he used them in the arches on the inside, he could lighten the interior a bit?

(Was just a thought but i think if its done nicely (as he does always )it would look great.

im thinking of some elliptic "light-ups" on the surface of the interior.
