Really like what you've done with this, must ask, as you've been doing the characters in a seperate thread, Are you planning on improving the whole game with the exception of buildings etc, or are the characters that you've shown just a one-off? Because I'd really like to see the game after an overhaul on all the vehicles/peds

Theyre a one off. I honestly dont think I could deal with doing anymore gta3 content after these packs, its been a nice ride but yeah, Ive spent way too long on this project already. I just want to get it finished ATM.

Fair enough then, Maybe someone else would be inspired to do it, Hell, I would give it a bash if I knew anything about putting a model together.

 

EDIT: Wondering if we can expect to see pack 3 very soon, progress looks good.

Now Im done with the landstalker the updating continues.

A bunch of things have been changed with the taxi but the main change is that the bumpers are now carcol compatible

 

the files work perfectly with VC without any extra modification.

 

Also the beta police car now work with carcols (I dont know why it didnt before) so now you can have a LCS style cop car, for those so inclined.

 

It may not look like Im changing a whole lot from the screens but there are 100 tiny things that Ive changed or added on each model, heres the list of changes Ive still got to do. the highlighted cars are done, the earliest ones take the most work. I was aiming for 1 a day but haha that didnt work out so good.

 

ALSO City_Poke912 is working on converting the landstalker to IV, and his finished product should be coming soon. the screenshots hes showed me so far look pretty sweet.

No, im not making any specific changes for the vc versions. If you want the VCPD badge on there instead of the LCPD one youll have to do it yourself.

I definitely do not. Its taken me 3 years to do this many, to make all of the San Andreas cars would conceivably take another 10. Its not happening. And yeah The final pack will most likely have a fixed up data folder which should make everything simpler to install.

i have built mods to replace about 35 gtasa vehicles, but doing them all is a huge job.. it has taken me about 6 years to get to this point

Yeah its a sh*t ton of work, I really dont think non modders understand exactly how much work goes into each thing people produce. It would be a different story if I was getting paid for it.

I would suggest an elite modding team, but everyone has their different styles of modelling and it would look like a patchwork quilt.

Well thats what I had hoped this would be when I was starting it, sure I had a couple contributions by gta mallorca but its mostly just been me flying solo. It would be great if anyone could contribute anything to the completion of the final pack, even if its something as simple as the RC car. Also its always cool to have your name as a part of the greatest gta3 car pack of all time

Also you maybe will be interested in license plates textures.

I made them in NYC plates style.

There is for 90's with Statue of Happinnes.

For 2001-2009 Gouranga series.

And, like NYC's current, Gold Gouranga.

And a custom plates.

I completely love the yellow and last license plates. Nicely done.

Other ones wouldn't look that realistic, firstly, because there's no statue of happinnes in III, two other ones because you used IV pics, and wrote "algonquin" instead of "Portland" (or some other III LC island name)

It's because to that time when GTA III was in WIP. R* didn't invent a parody on Statue of Liberty.

 

And all signs are editable. You able to change to Staunton because it similiar to Manhattan.
