well i can tell you the pic is working for me and its not just a pile of white stuff. its a capture from the 3rd trailer where niko is firing an ak47 next to a black car with the shot windscreen, if you look to the right of this you will notice the floor is white with a shrub that looks like its a bit iced up. looks very promising to me

What else could it be then? We know that there will be months, we've seen snow in other pictures... I think that's enough to convince me.

Just because the ground is white(ish) doesn't mean it's snow. It could be because of light, for example.

Look at the wall the snow is up against, its kinda wavy too.

I ruled out white sand since the plant growing in it would not grow in the sandy soil. The plant has a slightly withered and frozen look as well. It can't be a hard surface cause it's very wavy and soft looking and I have never seen dirt that light so it could very well be snow.

Well if you look close it could be dark sand/mud. Not 100% sure its snow.

I'll never take anything as proof unless properly confirmed by R*. We have (to some extent) officially had snow in San Andreas (in LC), LCS (in a mission) and Bully (not GTA, but close enough). If it does appear in this game it still isn't certain what form it will take.

 

However, the above picture is much more convincing than most that are posted that claim snow.

 

 

If they did have, it I wonder if they would have it fall from the sky and gradually build up a layer on the ground, then gradually melt away. Another option would be to just have the "snowed" ground appear after saving/waking as if it appeared overnight (as it seems to in real life sometimes) and then disappear the next night.

yeah if you look closley at the edge of the snow as it meets the back wall you can see it is uneven just like snow settles, also it does not like like mud.

 

Lets face it allthough its not officialish its probably the best bit of proof we have, and also its not asif ROCKSTAR havent thought about snow before because they included it in 2 of there GTA's and bully.

 

also if i rember correctly Rockstar said the only reason they did not include proper snow weather in previous GTAS. was the fact the Last gen console were not powerful enough to process that sort of weather Hence you only got canned snow in GTALCS.

 

They only managed to include snow in bully because the games map itself was so small and they could incorporate it

That is definitly snow... I just hope R* lets us see it accumalate during gameplay... not just "oh its december, switch the textures to show snow"

Yeah, while we might have proof of snow, the question is how it will work out in-game. I'm hoping for it to gradually set and fade away, how ever technologically advanced that might be.

Heres how it could work: When you reach a certain point in the story line, maybe at 3/4 of the game, the leaves on the trees will start to turn orange. Snow will slowly start to fall, when you reach another point, there will be a small accumulation, so on so forth. I doubt it will all dynamic, our technology isn't there yet.
