Has anyone figured out how to get this running on the steam version of San Andreas? When I start a new game it crashes when it's finished loading.

i'm afraid it MAY be impossible. DeeZire used diffpatching on gta3.img file, which is different in 3.0 and in 1.0 (no Hot Coffee stuff). Therefore, it may replace wrong parts of the file, leading to a crash.

 

Try making your game more 1.0-like - get 1.0 IMGs from somewhere. There are plenty of places where you can acquire such backups.

Well, I tried to use SilentPL fix 1.2 but it crashes the game after some time playing. My main goal was to fix the problem at the final mission "End Of The Line". At this time I think everybody knows, but here it goes: the problem is caused by a corrupted model, called Slut (slut.dff and slut.txd). Everything I did was to replace this model by other ped, wich was bfypro.dff and bfypro.txd. I just renamed it to slut.dff and slut.txd and replaced on gta3.img. So, I finished the mission without using any kind of fixes, just the TTDISA V1, on it's original form. Maybe this method can be useful to people getting crashes with the fixes. Install TTDISA V1. and replace the model slut with other ped; then you'll be able to finish the game .

That usually happens when you don't install the mod on a new, non-moded game.

EDIT: I found it. Now to fix this crashing when done loading problem. I am on XP so I don't understand it. I'll keep reading.

Just be sure to install as descript on the instructions. Replace the model slut on gta3.img, and delete any GTA SA User Files folder on your documents. Start a new game. It should works now.

Replacing the Steam gta3.img with a 1.0 gta3.img fixed it! I also used this downgrader, not sure if that made a difference.

To be sure, just download some trainer and select the mission "End Of The Line". Just check if the game works properly when you smash the wall with the SWAT Tank. If the game doesn't crash, you did it right.

"TTDISA 'End of the Line' fix" is a patcher that will help you to pass the mission  'End of The Line' of the mod TTDISA without cheats\trainers. Originally the mission crashes because of buggy model 'slut'. We will replace it with 'bfypro' renamed to 'slut'.

This solution is outdated. Use Silent's patch for 'End of The Line" & other fixes; mine - for mod-friendly & stable HOODLUM exe.

Hi Silent, i dunno if you know already, but DeeZire came back. He just post in days ago on his Deezire.net I thought. Maybe u can contact him.. He said he will remake his old projects as well.

If so, that's very nice, but working on TTDISA isn't my top priority. I just make that fix so people can enjoy the mod, it was never meant to be official.

Patchers inside archive will make "Things To Do In San Andreas" compatible with v1.0 [uS] HOODLUM No-CD Fixed EXE (GTA: San Andreas v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE).

 

What the point?

Version of gta_sa.exe supplied with a mod is a modified version of disassembler-friendly GTA_SA.exe (compact exe by listener). I respect listener's work but seems like compact exe is unstable & exactly uncompatible with some mods

(like "Full Nitro Control" by Wesser. 'Friendly' version of TTDISA main.scm works with both TTDISA exe & HOODLUM but 'Full' works only with 1-st. Unofficial patch 1.2 is incompactible with HOODLUM. Thats the reason I've made patchers.

 

Solution:

Move all changes that DeeZire made with compact exe to HOODLUM. There was really many changes (1717 differences) but CodeFusion (advanced Patch Generator for Windows) saved a lot of my time & nerves!

 

I've made 2 patchers:

MOD_HOODLUM_EXE_4_TTDISA - can patch v1.0 [uS] HOODLUM No-CD Fixed EXE

TTDISA_EXE_2_MODDED_HOODLUM - can patch original TTDISA EXE

 

RESULT FILES WILL BE EXACTLY THE SAME!

YOU NEED TO APPLY ONLY ONE PATCH DEPENDING ON VERSION YOU HAVE.

didn't work so you weren't able to apply patch.

Now it's replaced with ANSI version and works fine.

I've got a problem with the mission "Outrider". It's stuck as the gate to the warehouse keeps being closed and the van driver just mindlessly ram into the gate.... Anyone knows how to fix this?
