I found that the exdisp.asi from the link posted before mine worked but the link to the required asi loader failed. My link has an asi loader so you can mix and match if required.

Can somebody upload SilentPL's unofficial fix 1.0? It worked fine for me, i don't need 1.1 because it makes my game crash when CJ is killed.

I downloaded, Unzipped, but i cant install it, i reinstalled my GTA San Andreas but didn't make any different, still unable to select the GTA folder in the installer please any one help me.

Good news - I just recalled what makes my 1.1 fix crash, and I think I'll soon fix it. However, I don't have access to my TTDISA installation anymore, so I won't be able to test it by myself, I'll need someone to do it instead :S

Deezire dont work on this mod anymore can you continue this mod ?

No, from three (or even four) reasons:

 

1. I don't have his original SCM code - recreating it would take ages.

2. I don't have his permission.

3. I have other projects yet.

4. Mod seems to change many aspects of game, including modelling - I can't make models (I THINK DeeZire made at least parts of them from scratch).

 

Also, I think he DOES work on the mod - just not showing progress/has something other to do yet. I remember his post from a while ago.

Free Roam with Denise crashes game for me when using unofficial fix 1.1.

can someone please tell me where the heck the rush! and crush! missions are. I found karmagedon in the Los santos airport out door parking area. but am completley clueless for the others anyone know where they are?

I INSTALLED SilentLP's Unofficial patch v1.1 and installed full version but the game crashes

when CJ is wasted .PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

It's already been pointed out that my fix DOES have this bug. Use regular SCM in regular gameplay, and switch to my version only when playing End of the Line and Carmageddon submission. I don't have acccess to TTDISA atm, but I might release the fix soon.

Let's get back to Windows 7 troubles.

 

It's quite possible to start a new game of TTDISA on Windows 7. The problem is that you can't load your old saves (and this point ruins everything for me). By "old saves" I mean saved games made on XP, before upgrading to Windows 7.

 

Compatibility. Here is how I see it works.

Alt and SilentPL, thanks for the info.

 

Install GTA without choosing any compatibility for setup file - it should work on most Win7 systems.

 

Add TTDISA without compatibility. This installs so-called "friendly" mode, without some of the features. New game starts easily.

Old saves don't work because they were made in "full" mode.

 

Add TTDISA with compatibility set to any of XP variants. This way you force the mod to install the "full" version. Now the game has all the features and I am almost 100% sure that it should load all old saves. The problem is that the game won't work because the above mentioned features use some weird memory access that cause the game to crash under Win 7.

 

I've spent quite a lot of time (and I guess like many of you) trying to find a workaround for this. Seems that there is only one reliable way to get things working - Dual Boot - Installing XP as a second OS. Don't rush and do that. It's somewhat tricky and requires some plannig. Search goole for "installing xp after windows 7". It shows links to a lot of sites and forums describing this process step by step with links to all required software.

 

Virtual machines are not good enough at this time to handle the hard task of runnig GTA:SA .

 

Any other ideas ?

The mod does NOT work with the Steam San Andreas. Can the original exe be posted or an update be made to this?

So far this is one of the most ambitious mods, and it makes me sad that I cannot try it.

I believe you can't install the mod, yes? The solution should be pretty simple then - rename your EXE file from gta-sa.exe to gta_sa.exe (oddly Steam has it with -), installer should detect the EXE fine then.

I tried, it didn't.

 

So I downloaded an iso, and now I have a new problem.

The mission bar loads and it crashes as it is fully loaded.

 

I am running Windows Vista.

 

EDIT: I found out why, for some reason it had installed the full edition.

I swapped it out with the friendly one and it works now.
