[BETA|WIP] Things To Do In San Andreas

First of all, welcome back Deezire. I´m glad that you´re here and working for another fix for this great mod. smile.gif

 

But in your mod there´s 2 things, that they aren´t in your mod:

 

- 300 gang teritories

- Casino Four Dragons and Mad Dog Mansion as own property

 

I know, how this things get, but No. 1 is working with Savegame editor, which he isn´t working in my savegame in that mod. And No. 2 is Cleo script, which he isn´t working in your mod.

 

Please, put this things in your next version of TTDISA. Thanks. cool.gif

And since you are back and working on another update of this mod. Can you change some of the map parts and make it like the old BETA map and also have a working path for it? Just a suggestion. And also, can you add a feature that allows you to attend beach parties whenever you want?

 

By the way I figured out the GTA San Andreas PS2 graphics thing so if the map that I'm requesting you to build, and all the features in the mod that's already there and being added, and the PS2 graphics settings are applied to the mod all together, it'll make a massive impact on the whole GTA San Andreas for PC community.

I would like to share a few things that I have noticed and may be possible bugs:

  • * In
Vigilante side mission you earn money only for passing level 15.

* It’s nice to see that a military (6 star wanted level) is finally using Hunters and everything would be fine if pilots, who are flying these helicopters, wouldn’t fly like they where drunk (or high on crack). I mean, they are not only flying too low, but they almost always bump on various objects on the map, especially buildings. Not to mention that these bumps almost certainly lead up into a helicopter's explosion.

* What happened with tuxedo pants? They where originally in a Didier Sachs but now they’re gone (post update).

These bugs are in a original game, but maybe something could be done with them:
  • * Sometimes a custom paint job is disappearing from a car when you leave it in a garage.

* Sometimes a game will crash when you enter into Ammunation with a firing range and people in a firing range are about to shoot at their targets (I’m not sure if this happens in other SA version, but it sure does in mine).

* Tear gas is not affecting enemy gang waves during turf wars (post update).

Also, I think that it would be cool if:
  • * You could buy all melee weapons (except flowers, dildos and canes) and brass knuckles in
Ammunation.

* You could buy tear gas in Ammunation. Say, $300 for 5 units (post update).

* Brass knuckles where as powerful as the ones in GTA Vice City. Or at least do a little more damage.

* You could change your motorbike’s color and improve it’s radio bass in TransFender.

* You could buy special upgrades (armor) for vehicles in a garage at Toreno’s Ranch (the one where a monster truck was parked in a Monster mission) after passing Vertical Bird mission. Each separate upgrade would make a vehicle bulletproof, fireproof, explosion proof and more durable. Also, you could purchase these even for vehicles that normally cannot be modded (Utility van, Boxville and so on) and you could buy more than one special upgrade. Of course, these upgrades must be very expensive (for example, $100000 for making your car or motorbike bulletproof).

* You could save your vehicles in Madd Dogg’s Crib’s garages. Of course you must reach a point in a storyline, where you are acquiring this mansion.

* You wouldn’t have to take over enough gang turf to drive Big Bear into rehab. You simply must drive him into hospital (Beat down on B Dup).

* A heavy weaponry in Toreno’s Ranch (the one that spawns after completing Vertical Bird) would have the same amount of ammo, as the regular pickups have. For example, a heat-seeking rocket launcher that is located at Easter Bay airport has 10 rockets, but the same weapon at Toreno’s Ranch has only 3 rockets. Or, a flamethrower’s amount of fuel, that is located at Doherty is 200, but a flamethrower’s amount of fuel at Toreno’s Ranch is only 10 (post update).

* You won’t hear OG Loc in a Radio Los Santos anymore after passing Cut Throat Business. After all, Madd Dogg has recovered his rhyme book from OG Loc, so he won’t be able to plagiarize Madd Dogg’s rhymes anymore. As a result, OG Loc’s rap career will be broken, because frankly, the only lyrics that he can kick is a senseless mumbo jumbo. Besides, he is a buster and annoying gangsta wannabe fool anyway (post update).

Oh, and by the way, where I can trigger Karmageddon, Crush and Rush side missions?

It should, this mod doesn't affect the quality of the game's graphics, only scripts with a few models. ENB doesn't change any of that in the game, so it should work. But I'd back up the files that will be replaced. (if any)

im sorry if this has been answered(i went threw most of the forum and didnt see something on it) how can i stop my san andreas from crashing every time i try awol angel?

 

EDIT:now it crashes whenever im wasted. im on friendly version. my ttdisa is v1

And by the way, there is one more thing that I have noticed: Leviathan is not strong enough to lift a car or other heavy vehicles sad.gif. Could something be done with that? I would love to catch cops with a magnet and then toss them into the ocean - or leave them on a skyscraper's rooftop tounge.gif.

 

 

 

======== Post update ========

 

I have just noticed two major, if not critical, glitches in a Vigilante/Brown Thunder side mission:

 

1. It happens almost always when a suspects are driving in a Romero hearse. When I destroy Romero then all suspects inside are counted as killed, but, a hearse is not counted - a red arrow is hovering above the wreck. (Screenshoot). But thats not all, if I fly away from Romero's wreck far enough, so it will be out of my sight, then the game will crash.

 

2. When I reach a checkpoint, cancel the mission and start it again, then I have to do it all over again instead of continuing from the last checkpoint. Maybe it is somehow connected with a Romero hearse bug mentioned above, but it is only my assumption.

 

One more thing, when I triggered Vigilante/Brown Thunder the first and second time and (not to mention a bug described a few posts back) everything was fine, so I have completed it (I can't remember if there where any Romeros though). All these glitches (at least the one with a Romero hearse) are starting to appear when I want to pass Vigilante/Brown Thunfer the third time.

 

 

There is also a minor glitch in a San Andreas map. A location in Las Venturas named Pilgrim (if I remember correctly) is not displayed on a map (Screenshoot).

 

 

 

======== 2nd post update ========

 

I tried to bypass a Romero hearse bug by attempting to kill all passengers and a driver without destroying Romero by shooting at their heads (I used M4). Unfortunetly, it didn't wprked sad.gif. When I killed a few passengers and Romeros have drived far away to be out of my sioht then, you guessed it, the game has crashed.

 

There is also a very little bug i think. One of the arrays with a sign Sherman Dam is facing a wrong direction (Screenshoot).

can someone please tell me where the heck the rush! and crush! missions are. I found karmagedon in the Los santos airport out door parking area. but am completley clueless for the others anyone know where they are?

Yeah, you are right. Though I experience crash when dying in gameplay in the unofficial fix. bored.gif

What's the difference between full and friendly main? I need to know for modding purposes, I know it's for compatibility but are there any features missing in the friendly main that are in the full main, or vice versa? I also need to know if any peds were replaced as well, I believe some were.

 

I would also like a list of all possible bugs, I'm going to try my best to improve on this mod and fix some current bugs. I've already managed to add completely new (without using CLEO), functional cars without replacing the ones that already exist, along with a few other minor additions and bug fixes.

friendly version have less features, full have every features.

and yes peds were replaced, but not all, just some.

Characters

 

Carl's stance was similar to Tommy's

Characters including Officer Carver, Larry and Poncho were removed.

Both Sweet and Big Smoke had their appearances changed. Sweet was originally dressed in black and wore a black skully, Big Smoke wore a white jersey and did not wear a hat, exposing his shaved head.

Kendl Johnson's facial model and clothing were altered.

Gang members looked different and wore different clothing.

Each city had its own motorcycle cop model, whereas in the final release the same model is used for all cities (The beta cop models can still be found on the game´s files)

According to a strategy guide, the Triad members were originally different.

According to a preview before the games release, Steve Scott was originally going to return for a "big" action movie in San Andreas.

In a screen before the games release Carl Johnson looked slightly older than the current one.

 

Missions

There are many deleted missions which include The Truth is Out There and Impounded, or missions with different objectives which include Doberman, Photo Opportunity and Beat Down on B Dup.

In the first version of Saint Mark's Bistro, CJ had to chase Marco Forelli with a car in the streets of Portland, but for some reason, Portland is not full in the final version (only Saint Mark's, Red Light District and some place of Chinatown and Portland View) and the road isn't solid everywhere.

Fish in a Barrel was supposedly an actual mission instead of a mere cutscene.

In Sweet's Girl, originally Sweet did not have a gun, so CJ escorted him out.

In Photo Opportunity, unused text implies that CJ hijacked and used a helicopter.

There was going to be a mission involving a search for Big Smoke.

There was going to be a different race in the Los Santos Stadium.

According to cut text, San Andreas was going to have a mission pack.

In beta, car- and bike school had to run in same place, in Doherty's driving school.

The Pizza Boy side-mission was removed.

The Top Fun mini game from Vice City was supposedly to return but its was removed for unknown reasons.

According to the PS2 files, there was to be originally 50 rampages (non-multiplayer) all over the map, but this was cut for unknown reasons.

 

City

Originally, if Carl Johnson killed a pedestrian, a news van would arrive and the crew would report on the event.

If Carl crashed into a lamp post a mechanic would arrive to fix it. If the player killed the mechanic the lamp post would remain broken for a time, even if the player left the immediate area.

The Mulholland Safehouse seemed to have a full interior that can be seen from the outside. The change on final version causes a glitch which allows the player to go through the wall.[13]

Donut shops such as Rusty Brown's Ring Donuts were places where Carl Johnson could eat.

San Fierro in the beta had very few docks and more parks. The beta map of San Fierro was very detailed and can be seen in Driving School.

There was cars driving around the car parks and may park there in San Fierro. (Also in Valet car park)

The construction yard near the hospital in Downtown Los Santos had a crane.

The Easter Basin Naval Base had a different outline, it had a dock and the ship is missing.

San Andreas was much bigger and had several different land masses, such as a larger San Fierro (which resembled San Francisco more closely), A full beta map of San Andreas can be found on a wall in the Lil' Probe'Inn.

Las Venturas had a different name by the initials "LG". In early screen shots of Las Venturas, Police Cars had the initials "LG" printed on their doors. One can only assume what "LG" stood for.

Santa Flora Medical Center had 2 helipads on its roof. These pads were most likely meant for the Maverick and Raindance that spawn there in the alpha. Oddly enough, these helipads were absent in the alpha, so the choppers simply spawned on the roof.

The Clown's Pocket casino was originally called The Ringmaster, its original name can still be seen on the paper map included inside the game box.

Hardware Stores was originally included in-games, and you can buy tools (like in GTA Vice City).

Pharmacies from Vice City were originally included where you can buy health and adrenaline.

The second beta name for Las Venturas (after LG) was : Las Venturra.

The village of Bayside didn't exist in the beta version.

The village of Dillimore was smaller in the beta version.

The Hunter Quarry was smaller in the beta version.

Some roads present in the Red County beta are absent in the final version.

According to the beta map, there was a small island in San Fierro bay which was most likely based on Alcatraz.

 

Weapons

The Skateboard was cut from the final game (its icon is still on the disk, and it can still be used but only as a weapon).

Strategy guides and other prints speak of a Gun Cane available alongside the Cane. The Gun Cane does not appear anywhere in the game.

The Parachute was originally smaller and blue (it can be seen in the demonstration video in Flight School showing how to control parachute).

Accorded to some early preview of the games, 150 weapons were originally included in-game.

Another Rocket Launcher called "M47 dragon" was cut, its files can only be found in the PS2 version.

A sniper rifle named "M82" was cut.

The grenade launcher was cut again.

Two machine guns named "M249 SAW" and "M60" was cut, its files can only be found in the PS2 version.

The Micro-SMG was removed, it can be seen in early screenshots of the game.

The Parachute icon was originally a bit different.

The AK-47 icon was originally different.

The Jetpack and the cell phone originally had icons on the HUD like the other weapons.

 

Others

Animals that would roam the rural areas were cut. (Their models are still available in the game's files, albeit without AI present).

Originally, there were over 300 gang territories to be taken over all over the map.

The ability to create and run your own casino was taken out after the alpha version.

Usable car-washes, similar to those in GTA IV, were cut.

The ability to ride the trolleys in San Fierro was cut.

It was possible to hear many vague sounds from your car if it was broken. These sounds can be hear from Rockstar games's beta gameplay video[7] or some of the trailers.

You can also hear many minor sounds included in beta release which are useless in the final game, but these files are still in GENRL file and can be moddable with mod tools.

The mobster who Carl kills in Saint Mark's was originally going to be called Marco Forelli but due to deleted audio, his name was never mentioned in the final version.

The Grove Street Families were originally going to be called The Orange Grove Families.

Pedestrians would walk into and out of accessible places like stores, clubs, etc. And GSF members would walk into and out of / hang out in your safehouses.

Pool tables were originally going to be colored green instead of blue.

The motor bikers had a different design.

Carl Johnson would be able to use drugs, which would make the camera wobble around making it more difficult to control CJ.

The ability to drink beer was cut from the final version.

Through the hidden interiors universe, unused brothels can be found, these were most likely to be placed on top of Strip Clubs.

Pre-release magazine articles showed that stealing cars was to be much more difficult. In early screen shots, car jacking was shown to involve smashing the car's window and then hot wiring it. This was all removed, possibly due to the limitations posed by the PS2. A similar system is present in GTAIV.

The ability to rob stores (like in GTA Vice City) such as 24/7 was removed.

The ability to put many way point on the map was removed at the very end of the development. In the final version, we can put only one way point.

Accorded to the strategy guide, adrenaline from previous GTA were in the beta version. However their effects can still be activate with a cheat code.

According to a picture from the strategy guide, there was originally a pool table inside Madd Dogg's Mansion.

According to Rockstar Game, the game was made on 2 DVDs, that's why a lot of things were deleted when they put the game in one DVD.

According to american.gxt, there was several phone call and lines which where cut.

According to gta3.img, There are several more items of clothing available at the clothes stores, including t-shirts, trousers, caps and more - these were all in the game but not used.

There was a boxcar that the Freight would presumably have pulled instead of, or in addition to the flatcars present in the final version. These still exist in the game, and can be modded on to a train with relative ease.

A path file exists for the railroad track into Easter Basin, suggesting that it was to feature at some point. This can be utilized through modification.

i know but adding those features would improve san andreas much, and this mod is about adding features, improve gta san andreas etc... features like "The Pizza Boy side-mission was removed." is no needed, removing features would not improve gta san andreas.

2) This copy-pasting stupid because it:

----a) takes too much space, better just describe shortly what you want

----b) pointless because DeeZire probably read it and made his own conclusions (not all beta stuff is good)

The first thing I want to do is fully restore all the things he replaced, like the pedestrians and vehicles. I already have the vehicles done, I just need to know every single pedestrian he replaced and I need to figure out a way to add completely new ones as to restore them. I haven't experimented with it yet, but I'm avoiding using CLEO at all costs, for anything. I'm trying to use original files as much as I can, like DeeZire did.

 

Another thing I really want to do is manage a way to restore some features that are only in the PS2 version, such as moonphases and the broken ambulance door texture. I haven't dabbled in this yet but there has to be a way, I don't understand why they wouldn't be present in the PC version, is there any remaining code for it anywhere?

By the way I'm not trying to hijack DeeZire's mod or anything, I'm just fixing bugs and adding my own personal touch to it until/if he picks it back up again.

Hey guys, I'm trying this mod right now, and it's awesome so far. But I'm wondering, is it possible to extend the draw distance? For some reason, modifications to the timecyc.dat value for farclip don't take effect ingame with this mod, even though every other value does something. Does anyone know why this happens? Other mods (including cleo) work fine too.

 

EDIT: Nevermind, I found out that the issue was related to data\maps\leveldes\seabed.ipl. When I replaced that file with the default one, the new draw distance took effect. Funny thing is, the version of file that comes with this mod is dated 10/3/2004, and the default one is dated 10/27/2004.. not sure how I can explain that. The only difference in them appears to be at the bottom, there is stuff listed under the "tcyc" section, which is what causes the problem.

Had a good playthrough with this mod when I first got my new PC a couple of months ago - great fun towing cars to the Angel Pine Junkyard, driving them to the red marker and getting money like they were crushed smile.gif

I would even tow police cars in (after disposing of the drivers and using the turndowntheheat cheat to get the cops off my tail).

I have a little problem with this.

I have download many zips for Things to do in San Andreas.

I have download following:

-TTDISABETA4

-TTDISAV1

-TTDISA unofficial fix 1.1

 

There i don't know what the latest version is.

Could anybody help me with that please?

Because on the unoffical fix there are two folders with main.scm and script.img in each.

One folder is friendly and the other name is full.

The full files are not working, i start the game but it crashes after loading.

The friendly one is working but when i die and the text should come up which is saying wasted and the camera is going up above CJ, it crashes.

I have put in the files from "TTDISABETA4" and now it is working but i don't think this is the latest version.

Because there is a nice feature not included which is on the unoffical fix.

Example:

-the lighthouse is not lightning at night

-the AK doesn't spawn after the mission "Robbing Uncle Sam"

-the speaker is missing when you do the Sub mission as a pizza boy, there is only a text.

 

Can someone tell me please which is the latest Version and why it crashes when i have the unoffical fix?

I got some problem on the mod

 

when i'm trying to do mission "Management Issues" (spoiler)you know, the OG Loc mission to kill madd doggs manager or something

it crashes after the cutscene...

tried to load with leoncj's pack still crash

i used TTDISA version 1

thx

First of all, love this mod!

Second: I just got a new laptop and had to install san andreas and this mod. The problem is that my new screen has a widescreen 1080p definition and I can't find 1920x1080 in this gta version. I googled and found out about the 1.1 patch for san andreas, but that doesn't help.

So my queston is: is there any way to get this resolution in this mod?
