User Track Player

Ok, i can't be bothered searching the internet so hopefully someone here has the answer. In the 'Audio' settings, what does the "user track player mode" (or whatever it's called) do. It has 3 settings; random, sequential and radio. The manual says nothing about it, in the "Transfender" section. Ok, i know what random and sequential are, what i really want to know is what 'radio' does.

Anyone? btw, this is on XBox but it's probably the same on all (?)

Well, DUH! Sorry, i just had to say that smile.gif No, what i want to know is what the 'radio' option does in the 'user track player mode' setting. Random chooses a track at random to play next, Sequential selects the next track on the cd, but what does Radio do?

As you know (if u have it on XBox) the up/down buttons select the next/prev radio station. And when on the user track player, holding up/down selects the next/prev cd, holding left/right selects the next/prev track on that cd. So setting user track player mode to 'radio' does what?

Maybe it sets one station as the default station for all vehicles so you don't have to switch to your favorite station every time you switch cars or motorcycles..there is a setting to do that on PS2.

Now...that would be good. I have never really fiddled around with the audio settings...especially the user track settings...but the one thing i really hate is having to change the radio each time I change vehicle.

Guess i will take a look at this.

Well that's what "Radio Auto-tune" is. On XBox (and PS2 i assume) that setting keeps the same station when you get in another car.

I played around with it and all i can see is that it randomly selects a track when u press up, down, left or right. That's the same as selecting "random". I thought that maybe it selects a random song from a different cd instead of just any random one (which may happen to be on the same cd). ??? I will google it.

EDIT: lol,

From what i have personaly seen (on PC)

Random-chooses random songs

Sequential- Choses an artist, and sequentialy plays the album/songs available, by artist or alphebetical order

Radio-Is like random, only commercials appear, im not sure this is correct, but i have mine set to radio, and occasionaly i hear ads, like San Andreas Telephone,REdwood cigarrets, and others which in fact are quite entertaining

Oh, sweet. That would be awesome! I occasionally hear ads when i change to the user track player but it must be a glitch because i always have it set to random. I will have to try it out.

Sequential: Goes through every song on the order they appear on the CD.No ads.

Random: It picks a random song. With ads.

Radio: Goes through every song on the order they appear in the CD but it has ads.

Hope I helped.

No, your wrong. I'm not sure what it is on PC and PS2 but on Xbox it's what we already figured out:

Random: chooses a track at random to play next. I already knew that.

Sequential: selects the next track on the cd. I already knew that.

Radio: Is like random, only commercials appear. As gk787 said.
