ceedot
If you look at this shot, we see the gun falling with the guys body. Unless this is a cutscene, the gun should have stayed at the top of that thing rather than fall down with him. Do you think they have gone FPS style with guns on floors? Would you prefer it? I wouldn't as it's not GTA's classical style.
willgtavcs
buns will no longer float though they may have a light effect so you can see them but this is most likely a cutscene but i think guns will also have natural movement
Fakey_91
As they are going for a realisitc approach - I would expect them to dump the "classic" hovering weapons. They will probably go the "FPS" way - but hopefully they will make weapons easier to see somehow, maybe like its in BioShock...
DigitallyInsane
Looks like that would almost definitely be a cutscene to me... however that doesn't rule out the possibility of the weapons being separate 'pick-upable' objects.
Fakey_91
Even if they still do hover like in previos GTA games - I wouldn't mind. I just love the realistic approach, how the guy actually lets the gun go as in real life. Finally no 'magnet' between the character and the guns!! Slamman
For sake of (old) argument, I am quite happy with the items found 'floating', but not so obvious. Realism in game play isn't hampered by having access to needed things like this... May I point to Uncharted again where there is plenty of weapons and ammo scattered about to help aid a gun battle as you enter a fortified area. It doesn't mean it will be a cake walk getting through. Health and armor need to be around as well as bribes
$tr4nger
Yes I would much prefer it. And I can't see why people would have a problem with it for christs sake. It really won't make any difference in gameplay apart from add to the atmoshpere which is a good thing. Yes it will be different from the normal approach but that doesnt automatically mean it's bad...
LCM
I don't mind if they're spinning, I just don't want them to glow.
Slamman
doing away with Ammunation in favor of Little Jacob should not preclude finding a place to get a particular type of weapon for free. I rely on that and bribes in past GTAs... As well as hidden armor pickups
carcols.dat
I really hope guns are Halo-style ... no more f*cking floating models.

I wouldn't as it's not GTA's classical style. I hope you're right. But floating money pissed me off more than weapons. In fact, I hope they just remove money pickups from dead peds altogether. As if we don't have enough ways to make some cash.
Symbiote666
Saints Row had awesome money. Beating a tramp to death with a crowbar as he slept on a bench, then watching all of his change spilling over the floor , single coins as well as notes, now that was cool. I wouldn't mind floating/spinning weapons for the ones that are lying around (Trailer 1, chainsaw?) but when you kill someone, I would prefer it if the weapon fell to the ground, maybe with some light around it to make it known. XBOXLOVER
Maybe they will do it like in SR.

Having said this, I'm sure I heard we could throw people off buildings somewhere (is this confirmed?) so maybe it isn't a cutscene? Anyone more qualified to convince me it's a cutscene? I couldn't tell toe from a finger at times...
Rhoda
I wouldn't notice it. I'm so busy stabbing people in the neck I don't notice their weapon dropping unless it's hovering in a large circle, raping my eyes with colour. Who cares if it's unrealistic? This is GTA, not... er... well... real life.
LGNetw0rk
Honestley, I don't know. There are some things that make GTA... GTA. I think this is one of them. (If someone is playing the game, and some how (not possible) doesn't know it is GTA, they will when they see this, you know?)
airfonzo
I think they will use a combination. Weapons that people drop will be realistic but secret weapons you can find will float. While are trying to push the realism envelope they also don't want to lose that arcade feel that makes the GTAs fun
