During the boat chase sequence in the 3rd trailer we hear "Pull over! Its the Police!". Now assuming that is not part of the song playing over the top, can we safely assume that the cops will be more than just "We've got guns asshole" and the usual jokes combined with bang bang? EDIT: Meaning the cops will no longer start shooting guns at you when you tap the back of another persons car. The last time i saw that was in GTA 2.... lol I will assume that the AI is much smarter. I can't remember what source I read this from but cops can duck behind stuff and take evasive measures to protect themselves when you shoot at them (like max payne 2) instead of standing up like turds taking shots thinking they are hulk or something Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you watch some of the older trailers like the one's for San Andreas and Vice City, you'll notice that there were a lot of sound effects added into the trailer that were not in the actual game. I would imagine that IV is no exception. Who knows? But GTA4 has improved all round and it's a new system, VC and SA were based on the GTA3 AI system so it would be similar. As for them not saying humorous things such as "Do I get a medal if I kill him?" "You get two!" Rockstar couldn't possibly drop those, they're one of the biggest parts of GTA humor. We can't really gauge how much of what they say will be silly just from "Stop, This is the Police". I think you'll find in previous games, things like "Stop, this is the Police" were mixed in with the more silly, humorous quotes. It would be nice if people actually helped you sometimes.....In SA i acidently bumped this guys car and he gets out with a baseball bat and im running around in circles with him chasing me....He gets a hit on me....I punch him and o hello here comes the police with battons to kill me..... The police have to be able to differentiate whos to blame. But back on topic it would be nice if police gave you warning instead of moving straight to force....Like even random breathe tests would be mad.....Or just a nice little pull over and a cut scene begans, it would be very good. Poor guy What I was really trying to get at was not their speech, but their actions. Such as them actually pulling you over, handcuffing and the like.
