Steve Crook
I was doing the second triathlon, the longer one. I'd noticed a few times before that it seemed that no matter how fast I went there were always some other cyclists at my shoulder when I finished that long cycling section. This time I gave quite a few backward glances, especially as I was nearing the end of the cycling section, and there was no sign of any other contestant when I looked back on the longest straight sections. But when I came to the end of the cycling section a very short while later, there they were! Two other cyclists finishing that section just as I did. That's definitely cheating, unless they could cycle at supersonic speeds! Of course I could easily out-run them with indefinite sprint and finished it in first place in 15:09 Steve
!!GC!!
Hehe i dunno if you call that cheating or timing the use of your sprint well. Na its probably just doing the same thing as in the mission 'Sweet and Kendl'. When you are cycling along the final straight and you keep glancing back the Balla car gets closer than it should. BTW in that mission (Sweet and Kendl) where does Kendl go, cos she doesnt cycle off like the others, she disappears. Maybe gets picked up by Cesar Vialpando
Girish
I never look back for the fear of being overtaken.

If only you could do a drive-by from a bicycle Although one time I got to the car park under the flyover by the time they turned up and by dodging around the ticket booths I managed to get them to run into the booths and the barrier so often that they blew themselves up Good question, where does Kendl go? Steve Crook
Another place where I think the system cheats is on some of the road races. Especially the long ones into the country. I'm sure I've seen other cars in the race that were overturned and stationary so should have caught fire and exploded - only to have them overtake me further down the course. Or some that I've seen go flying off a cliff into the water - only to have them overtake me further down the course. Do they other cars in the race have an automatic recovery to keep them in the race? That's definitely not fair because one of my techniques is in making the others crash out Steve
radicell
Good question, where does Kendl go? I remember in the cutscene she says "I'm goin' off to see Cesar" and leaves. Or some that I've seen go flying off a cliff into the water - only to have them overtake me further down the course. I felt the same thing when doing a few street races. In the Country Endurance race, I was 2nd, and in front of me was a Turismo. I watched it as it flipped over the edge of Easter Tunnel and plunged into the water. This pushed me to 1st. Then, towards the end of the race, I got stuck in a pileup. When I got out of the pileup and glanced back, there was the Turismo, nearly catching up. In the end, however, I outran the Turismo and won. So how did the Turismo get out of the water and back into the race? Shouldn't it have been disqualified? Steve Crook
So how did the Turismo get out of the water and back into the race? Shouldn't it have been disqualified? It should have sunk and the driver should have been drowned But I think they must have an "auto restore" to bring back any of the other race contestants that kill themselves. A bit like the auto-flip that rights your car in the blood-ring if you get stuck upside-down Steve
!!GC!!
Yea this happens to me a lot too, its so gay and annoying cos if we go in the water we lose but if they go in the water they just come back. They should at least get some kind of penalty
