I just hope that weapon projectiles can travel to the draw distance's limit, unlike any other 3-d GTA. Stupid RPG's, exploding in mid-air...  mad.gif

Well to be fair, the RPG-7 does have fail-safe system that makes the RPG explode automatically when it exceeds a certain distance (or was it when the rocket runs out of fuel?).

 

I do agree. The draw distance is the best in any console version GTA thus far. I just can't wait to play this game. Imagine, driving on an overpass approaching a distant skyline, watching it grow larger and larger as you get closer to it. blush.gif

Bawwww, that reminds me of my past self back in late 2001 playing GTA3. I had an RPG and kept shooting towards the jumbo jets flying in the sky; thinking that my rockets would be able to fly that far and take the whole plane down.

 

 

 

I can't believe that was over six years ago; almost a third of my life bored.gif

omg, man, that is so great scenery of one great city, i will enjoy cruising LC and searching for such magnificent views. uhhh, cant wait...

 

 

screenshot - taillights or not, i cant say, i just really hope that you are right with that new&improved draw distance. it is very annoying to see an empty city streets in the distance confused.gif

But there is no way in hell those 'cars' will be actual cars.

 

period.

 

you wont be able to interact with them in any way shape or form. All it is, is a placeholder to mimic cars in the distance.

 

Anyone played crackdown on the 360? Just cause?

 

This is nothing ground breaking, sandbox games have been doing this for years. Do you have any idea how much processing power would be needed to achieve such a feat? Accounting for physics, lghting, AI, all running in High def? Even a f*cking super computer would struggle to maintain 5fps.

 

So for all you guys thinking,'i can't wait to snipe a ped from the empire state' or 'it's guna be so cool blowing up a bunch of cars from the other side of the map' .......it aint going to happen.

Ye it wud definetly cool to see traffic and cars and things happening in the distance maybe and hopefully similar to the game crackdown when u can see the traffic and peds from a long distance so games can definetly cope wiv the large draw distances colgate.gif

its not if the game can cope, its the prosessor power needed

I already have reservations about this, some things look like the fill in or draw in is delayed some. I think in some regard, that may prove to be a downside of the game when released... The press seem to think it will work good and next gen games prove the hardware is likely not a road block

This is not my favorite shot, there is a sort of blur, and i can't see anything lol

Anyway, i just wanted to say, that february is... in LESS than 2 months, AWSOME ! And time is running quickly.

I hated in San Andreas how I could be going full speed, than out of nowhere a tree appears and I smash into it, or lamp post, cars, etc. appear out of nowhere. It had horrible draw distance.
