Wanted Star Level?

Seeing all of R* attempts to make GTAIV as realistic as possible do you believe the good old "Wanted Star Level" will stay or change?

 

Is R* going to "cut" to make with realism?

 

Please discuess on ideas and thoughts...Because i carnt really see two tanks chasing after Niko in NY?

 

And Further more if R* keeps its good old "wanted star level" what level of inforcment do you think would be taken for each level raised?

Hmm good point. But I am sure it will be in there to keep that GTA feel, and if it wasnt there, you wouldnt really know what kind of police were after you.

Wanted stars will make a return yet again, but the system has changed and advanced from SA. For example, if you're being chased by the police you have to cut corners and drive into quiet parts to try and avoid being found. And people on the street can randomly report you to the police for doing different things such as breaking into cars and starting fights with people on the street.

While were talking about the law etc I might aswell ask this here instead of making a new topic.

 

I understand there is a Bank mission in IV. Wouldnt it be great if you could rob banks any time you wanted in the game.

I thought they changed it to that system, where circles get drawn on the map and thats where cops will try and find you...

I guess in there the star system would take place, but once your out your free to go.

The system is like that. At one star the circle is small, then at two it gets bigger, then at three even bigger, until at 6 it will take up the whole map, making it very tough to escape. And if you are seen escaping the search area, you will be moved to the middle of a brand new search area.

So is their diffrent levels of Law Enforcment chasing you? Or does the circle just get bigger and bigger untill it practically is un-escapable? Or is it just the police and an odd Heli?

They will *probably* move up to higher law enforcment after 3.

So like:

1 just a cop or two on you

2 A lot of cops chasing you in a bigger search area

3 Even more cops plus a helicopter or two and bigger search area

4 Same amount of cops one more heli and under cover cops move in (or maybe high ranked police and some low rankes FBI) and bigger search area

5 More FBI moves in and bigger search area

6 All hell breaks loose (with a huge search area)

Yep, that right!! Also, when you get a wanted level a red 'circle' on the radar appears, and to escape the cops you have to get out of the proximity of that circle. The higher the wanted level, the bigger the circle is and cops become much harder to escape from.......

and its also based on line of sight .. so if your in the search area but they dont see you, then your good .. like hiding in dumpsters like roman was doing in trailer 3 maybe?
