I mean, I can't stand that music and lifestyle and it almost ruined my game in San Andreas but I have to admit it was essential to fit with the place and the character, but here... what's the reason ? Same as the III's mafia theme and VC's 80's theme, rap fans have got what they wanted with SA. So, isn't it time to turn the page contrary to Saint's Row ? Please Rockstar, think to the others next time and why not, be less "Rapstar". PS: My english is very bad so if it's incomprehensible please tell me and I'll try to fix it. I can't imagine being in New York and not hearing rap, be it on the radio or in a club or something. So I'd hate to see stuff like Jay-z, Timbaland, 50 cent etc.. I like rap music, but if the trailer had, lets say death metal, I wouldn't say, aw sh!t Niko's gonna be one of those annoying emo people or a white supremacist. Its a trailer and the song has nothing to do with the game! For example, did you complain that the game was gonna be like Pruit Igoe from Koyaanisqatsi when the first trailer came out? Man shut the f*ck up. this was pointless as hell. Rap isn't the main thing in this game but rap is prominent and is one of the most popular music genres out . More than likely there are boroughs that are predominantly African American, and as a result, there are more predominantly rap based themes and attire. BUT the game is very multicultural from what I've seen. I wouldn't worry about it. The game is about life as an immigrant in a decaying city, NOT about any specific musical style or otherwise. The pallet of Liberty's citizens has grown exponentially while the city itself slips further into decay, poverty, and violence. The mods aren't going to tolerate name calling. I think it was simply put that a company like Rockstar, maybe they should have a stronger musical base in rock music, but you can't say they did a poor job representing it. I even liked the country music aspect... I listen to ALL the channels. The reason there was an ethnic theme chosen was explained in the Q and A over the trailer, that IGN presented. They felt it underscored the scenes used and the theme of Niko's early visit to LC. It should be obvious to US as game players that things we do with that character will be largely under are own control in the game, except where control is taken over with the storyline cutscenes.
