All you do is kill people and run away from the cops. There's no point to it. GTA has a storyline to every game. It involves drugs, betrayal, mob warfare, territories, and people. Yes they're random killings and cops chasing you but that's because people think its fun to do "stuff they can't do in real life" in a game. The San Andreas "sex" thing you guys are talking about is a Mod that was put into the game. They're sexual moments (Catalina and Carl), but the game isn't about that. The people I've actually talked to about games generally tend to like GTA. I guess for a more interesting story, when I was younger and still living with my mom, I was playing GTA3 one time. My mom at first hated me playing it. But one time she actually watched me play it, and she got very into the game. Mom: Careful, that cops about to open your door! Shoot him! Shoot him! Me: I cant, I have no more ammo. Mom: Then hit him with your door or something! It was probably the funniest and most out of character conversation I've ever had with my mom. Other than the year we sent out Christmas cards with us both giving the finger. The point is, it's very hard for people to not get into the game. It's just an incredibly immersing experience. Even non-gamers get sucked into the world. I'm about sick of video games being rehashed over and over... most games are getting boring to me... but GTA has never disappointed. A lot of my friends play it, and look to me for answers to their questions, because I'm the 'GTA guy' as quoted by one of my friends. Parents don't really know about it till they see it, but they don't really care either. I know my parent's don't care at all because I play so many different games. GTA was a big conflict towards Australia/Melboune with III, but I know it's cooled down. The S.A adds were on TV, which made me happy, and I hope that the IV ads will be on TV, because that would definately open peoples eyes towards the game, because most people look to other games now since there are so many. It doesn't get much simpler then that... Same thing is found in Uncharted as idols and medals that add up in your inventory and unlock things in the game... If people think I am a supreme gamer, that's just not true, but I have played video games since the earliest ones came out... I own a good number of old ones. BUT I can beat Vice City and San Andreas, those two are better suited to all skill levels, GTA3 is harder in my estimation. My mom took issue with The Warriors but before my dad and mom had seen GTA playing with general curiousity which I was happy to see, but I think they'd frown on the anti-hero aspect and of course, the hookers. But my dad's friends brother's son knows about it. But he's a wanker (He told me he had the demo for GTA IV and that R* was owned by Microsoft), and there is this guy I know from school thats on GTAF.
