Fakey_91
We've all heard how different Niko CAN sound. He has had many different tones in each trailer, and Trailer3 just had alot of his more "Normal" voice. Not the angry Niko which i'm sure we'll be hearing plenty of in the game. And I see nothing wrong with the voice acting. I love them, actually. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Same for me. You said I what I was thinking.... Rykane
For me, i think people who are not famous can sometimes deliver really good voice acting and the voice acting in gta 4 is top notch.

Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
I'm not saying I want celebs because their famous, that's got nothing to do with it. I like actors and the like do voice work because their TALENTED....Far more than these no-name voice actors. They have experience.
crux989
You dont need experience to be good at something. On the flip side just because you do have experience doesnt mean youre good either.
Typhus
I love the voice acting so far. Niko sounds both amiable and confident. Meaning that he could be the most charismatic protagonist since Vercetti. You know, the kind of guy who doesn't get angry unless the situation really calls for it. I think he's brilliant so far. Can't wait to play as him. Roman sound funny but a little hard to understand. His accent, surprisingly, is not grating at all. He sounds absolutely fine to me. Only person who annoyed me? Elizzabetha. Yeah, a fat black woman. Great. Plus stereotypical black man #1 was a little annoying too. "Money"? I mean, why not just say "Hello, how are you on this fine day?" Do we need to always use peculiar, baffling ebonics? But that's more to do with his lines. The voice acting was cool. Sounded exactly as he should have done. Namely a stereotypical black man. I hope these characters go past the boxes I have already placed them in. Plus, the guy who was rapping sounded really funny. Brang back memories of OG Loc. OJsAlibi
f*ck this, I'm pretty sure I heard Brian Doyle Murray in there, so there is definite hope. who the f*ck is that? Bill Murray's brother. Has been in several films with Bill. Was also in Christmas Vacation and Wayne's World. From the 2nd trailer, the off screen character that asks Niko "You're looking for some people...?" sounds quite a bit like Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin in Spider-Man). Also, the voiceover of the guy screaming "FINE, YOU WANT MY WORD?...YOU GOT MY WORD." sounded somewhat like James Gandolfini. Finally, I have a really far out theory. I was listening to Howard Stern on Sirius Satellite Radio around April-May 2006, and he had on the notorious comedian Andrew Dice Clay. Clay is a native of Brooklyn, New York and is in the midst of a career resurgence. He started telling Stern that he was going to do a voice over for a video game. He didn't specify which video game. But given that interview and now that we know Liberty City is the locale for GTAIV (which has been in production for three years).... I think the Diceman is one of the GTAIV voice actors for a character that has yet to be revealed. The Night Fox
The voice acting sounds alright, especially when Niko says "Well, since you put it that way, I'm in" Edited December 8, 2007 by The Night Fox
Gangster07
I must admit that Romans voice is annoying but maybe thats what rockstar are trying to do make us hate Roman for lying to Niko, but the rest of the voices sound fine to me..
pgtipsp
i cant see anything wrong with the voices so far and plus how do you know there arent big names involved? we dont now the full list of chracters so we dont know who'll be voicing them also does anyone eles think the go who says 'so youre the guy who got jumped for a couple of million' looks quite a bit like/ sounds a little bit like james caan? im sure there'll be a fair few big names, and you can guarantee that the vast amount of acting in the game will be up to previous games high standards - it is a rockstar tradition after all, with even small charcters like luigi in gtaiii being voiced by names like joe pantoliano - dont worry about it
AndyGanteks
The only thing i dont like about it is when Niko says ''move up ladies'' when he shoots the cue. It sounds awful.
Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus
I'm pretty sure Rockstar is still capable of hiring talented voice actors. Manhunt 2 had great voice acting, and it was released just recently. The story wasn't on par with Manhunt's, though. I really hope Rockstar doesn't start producing mediocre games.
