Death_Blade Posted December 7, 2007 Share Posted December 7, 2007 Im starting to think Rockstar is nearly done with the game, and that they might release it any time now, or at least theres a chance. I mean, we've seen how many screens in the past few days? A lot more than I can count. This has probably been the most screenshot's they've ever released at once, or at least in a row. This tells me the game is a lot further done than we might think, or maybe they've completed more than they thought they could in such a short amount of time. Could this mean we might see a late December/January release? I know the press releases say first quarter 2008, so most people are thinking probably Feb./March, but does anyone else think theres a chance? I guess they want to try and re-establish all the hype they had before everything kinda went down hill. I guess I'm too eager for the game ;P. But then again, like a previous poster said, all this stuff has come without warning, so, the release date could come without warning as well. I think Rockstar might just be as eager to release the game as we are to get it. With this huge amount of stuff they're releasing that kinda tells me they want to get the game out as soon as they can. Keep in mind, Christmas is the biggest time of the year for the gaming industry and Rockstars already kinda missed the boat on that one, so January or feb. is the closest they can get. Rockstar already has all the hype they need, especially with everything they just released. Holding the game back wouldnt create anymore hype. Besides, they get all their revenue from the game, so most likely they WANT to release it more than anything, but like aadrian said, they're probably still in the testing phase. Some may have every console out currently but I only own a Playstation 3 right now, I probably got one of the last 60GB versions in the UK. I have seen though on many UK videogame websites that the game is listed April 4th 2008 as the release date or 25th April 2008. It's still scheduled for a Feb - April release date. Rockstar just aren't confident enough to announce an actual release date they'll stick with between that time. OK? I would guess it'll be out earlier than anticipated but that begs the question, when will adverts begin to appear? How long do they normally wait before release till they show ads? Its just every time consoles are mentioned someone comes along and tries to start a flame war. But anyway, I guess a late December release would be way to close, but who knows? Rockstar announces the trailers very close to their release dates, what if they did the same? What if they tell us the release date 2 weeks before like they do with the trailers?
