Boombastic
Hey I'm on PS2 and I've finally got 100%! Now I'm getting into the cars, pimping them, testing etc. But how do you drift? What are the controls? And does anyone now a got spot for drifting? Please, don't take the piss.
bagga rabbit
I think the best way of drifting is to use the handbrake. And congrats on achieving the big 100%.
Boombastic
Thanks. Gently or hard?
Steve Crook
Thanks. Gently or hard? As much as is needed It depends on how much you want to drift It makes things like the Paramedic mission much easier if you know how to do it and do it well because you can turn corners at speed and keep the ambulance (reasonably) upright Steve
Boombastic
Thanks. I usually slam it right down and I do a 180.
bagga rabbit
Practice your drifting in the airports..just watch out for "incoming" planes.
Steve Crook
Thanks. I usually slam it right down and I do a 180. It can be much more controlled than that. After a bit of practice you'll be able to race up a road and do a tight turn into an alleyway at full speed Steve
Boombastic
Thanks for all your help guys. I usually use the sewers thingies.
Steve Crook
Thanks for all your help guys. I usually use the sewers thingies. There's not too much room for mistakes down in some of the storm drains. But if you take the big one south from Grove Street and then turn right into another one there's a nice long run with a few gentle curves. Then you go past the pillars (don't do a Princess Di and crash into the pillars ) and you can then do a sharp right to finish up near Pershing Square. I usually use those for getting my experience levels up on the push bike and motorbbike. Steve
!!GC!!
My fave places for drifting is in Palomino creek and Prickle pine. They have the best corners and after practice i can perfectly take any corner around there and be skilled enough to dodge any oncoming traffic. The cars i use for it are ususally the Infernus, Elegy, Turismo and the Sultan. They are all my favourite. All i do is come up to a corner at speed, take my thumb off the accelerator, put on the handbrake lightly to start a drift and slowly tap the accelerator until you finish the turn. While drifting make sure you turn out of the corner but not to much as to make the car over-correct and stop the drift.
