Slamman Posted December 7, 2007 Share Posted December 7, 2007 This may get locked but since my last article on the subject of DTS I figured out why my PS3 was not outputting optical surround, it was related to a firmware update that changes prior settings as far as I can tell. I really wanted DTS for San Andreas but was told it had been planned and scrapped due to the complexities. However, this time around I am noting with my PS3 game Uncharted there are a good number of sound options from mono on upwards!! This is good because both 5.1 channel discrete surround is covered in the Uncharted game for Dolby Digital and DTS. I am happy to say, it also sounds astounding... as you move the characters voices around you go in a circle relative to your position. Things like birds as well, come at you unexpectedly.
