Bab0
Hello, My GTA SA has beenhaving some frames issues, and since i could'nt stand it anymore, i tried everything i could. I notably noticed something, if turning down resolution, draw distance and FL etc didn't resolve anything, turn off the sound REALLY makes a difference. I DLed lastest sound drivers and did a couple of the things on the "collected audio tweaks fixes" topic, but none of this worked. Does anybody know what this could come from? Ring_of_Fire
The CPU will have to work more because the sound is turned ON, especially with the EAX feature. How you managed to turn off the sound?
Bab0
Intel Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz 1go Ram Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT 128mb XP SP2 To turn the sound off i just go to audio options and set the fx and radio levels to minimum thx for your time
evilrex
Well your system is fine, (your CPU isn't great but should run it okay) I had the same GFX card as you and SA worked perfectly. Might be your graphic card drives. Or you might have faulty hardware, a virus, or a currupt installation of GTA SA. Scan your system for a virus, defrag your HD and reinstall SA. Post back your results. Edited December 8, 2007 by evilrex
Ring_of_Fire
To turn the sound off i just go to audio options and set the fx and radio levels to minimum I think the sound card still has to work with the CPU even after doing that. Not sure though... I notably noticed something, if turning down resolution, draw distance and FL etc didn't resolve anything Did you ever set the Visual FX Quality to LOW? The resolution should be set to 640x480 16-bit, and the draw distance to the absolute minimum. Edited December 8, 2007 by Ring_of_Fire
