Typhus
Because there is a Russian immigrant population? In London they have Muslim radio stations. All ethnic groups, to some extent, segregate themselves from others. A Russian radio station is the tip of the iceberg.

Mister V
Still, this is not a game about Russia. Nor is Niko really russian, he's more of a collective image of an eastern european immigrant. Yes, I imagine a radio station with contemporary russian...ah... artists is better than the bear-vodka-Kremlin stereotypes, but it wouldn't be understandable to 99% of the audience. Which is unacceptable in the case of an international blockbuster.

Fakey_91
Because there is a Russian immigrant population? In London they have Muslim radio stations. All ethnic groups, to some extent, segregate themselves from others. A Russian radio station is the tip of the iceberg. But the game has quite a focus on Russians. Notice all the Russian buildings everywhere like Pharmacy, the Services shop, Black Caviar etc...... BTW, the Brat 2 (Brother 2) has one of the best soundtracks for a movie ever. I love that Russian rock, and the movie was fantastic too. I'm going to Russia in a month to see friends and family - I'm so buying that album....
