I think that was a indication to us its not Newyork, it's liberty city. I also think they will leave them how they are so they dont copy plates from newyork cars I guess? Did you not yet know that it was Liberty City? Because I'm pretty sure that's one of the most major things about this game. We found out it was Liberty City from the FIRST trailer. If you watch the first 2 trailers, there were just a blank for lisence plate. So in the final game, the lisence plate will be totally different than the current one.
