But seriously, are you really expecting it to be as packed as real life New York? This is a game and there are some limitations. R* already delayed the game, and i wouldn't want to see it pushed back farther cause they need to put a thousand peds on screen at once. It wont be a deserted world, but you gotta come back to reality if you think your gonna get ALL of that into this game, and still expect the game to run as smooth as butter. No other pony farm game has as much stuff going on in it than this. Assassins Creed had alot of peds, but it also didnt have cars, barely any interiors. But I have never seen cab's like this in GTA IV pics.. o_O, ok to proove these shots or rreal go to gta4.net or yahoo's gta page and youll see them there. this is an early build of the game i am guessing as there seems to be just about 0 peds. but this is a pic of gta 4 i mean look at the police car "LCPD" it says on it. I would gladly sacrifice volume of peds on screen for more lifelike characters, though, thinking about it. I don't think R.A.G.E could handle same volume of characters on screen as Assassin's Creed with the level of depth and variety of peds in IV all simultaneously doing their things - all talking on cells phones, eating, etc. The performance would be adversely effected drastically. But having said all that, there are no peds in that picture at all. I really want to get the feel of walking down times square late night not some side street street in Denver or St. Louis for all it could be (I'm not being offensive, it could be anywhere is all I'm saying). A while back I suggested that we would be able to watch these video via the in-game internet, on the news channel. I guess that picture strenghtens my theory. I hope you're right. The cabs could be older as they're different in more recent screens so I trust you. Source? I don't remember seeing it before but it looks fairly polished graphically speaking. More hoardings/billboards would be great too. I don't see any enterable interiors which would be incredibly disappointing (visiting star junction) come release date. There are no peds, no atmosphere. I'm not one to complain about this game, i loved the trailer and all the other screenshots, but yeah, it is probably a screen from the early stages of the game .
