r4nger
If a topic along these lines has already been made, then sorry - the search function has been "disabled" But i was wondering - GTA:VC and GTA:SA both had a vast and well cast set of characters, i felt that this greatly added to the game. For instance i really liked Ray Liotta as Tommy Vercetti as i felt he gave the character some real attitude, just like Samuell L Jackson made Tenpenny fell like a real bastard. Who would you like to see make cameo apperances in the game - or play a key character? just in the interests of discussion

Seachmall
I think it would be awsome if they got some famous voice actors and it would explain all the hush hush about it. I don't know who'd be who though.
r4nger
seriously? when i tried it like 10 mins ago it said "search function has been deisabled on this forum for performance reasons" or some thing along those lines. edit: I know they probably wouldn't get who i want - but Christian Bale is quite the avid gamer apparently, i certainly wouldnt mind seeing him get a part to play Edited December 7, 2007 by r4nger
Deuce Deuce
Christian Bale is a great actor. I like how Rockstar use the more well-known actors for in-game voices, such as how they used Samuel L Jackson for Officer Tenpenny. Like you say, Jackson's mainly known for acting as someone who is really intimidating in films, thus was a good idea to use him for Tenpenny who intimidates Carl and his friends a lot. They even made Tenpenny look a lot like Jackson, too.
Seachmall
Isn't that the new thing with games to get face movement for emotion etc. to put those green [vertice] dots on the face of actuall actors and record their expressions? Its very possible they will do this which means that the voice actors will look like the charactors. Is their any charactor we know that looks like a famous actor at all? 2pac_stoffe
Al Pacino... If he can make a russian accent, he would be great for some old Russian Mafia leader!
Slamman
I've mentioned the subject before, it typically goes to back pages as no real clues are presenting themselves, only mere speculation. I can't determine who might be voicing what we've heard, but I liked the comparison of Roman to Dante in Clerks... He fits well to that comparison. Rockstar have stated a few times, they like to embody the new stories with new voice talant to keep you rooted in the story... I disagree that big names don't do that. As mentioned, they've done a supurb job with past casts, veering off only when a character's voice does change

Just as an FYI, the process of electrically reading points on a human actor to video is referred to as Rotoscoping. It's not new technology, but still used most often for realism effect [CGI] in movies as well as games. Sorry to doublepost...but I did wait a bit for this addition
