ACEGAMEFORUMS
Another part of GTA that right now might not seem like a big deal is the music that's going to be feautred which in fact, is quite major, when playing the game music sometimes sets the intensity for a certain mission of just cruisin' around. In the new trailer titled "Move Up, Ladies" a beat sounding a little like Hip-Hop/Middle-Eastern is featured. Well what kind of artists and/or songs should be featured exactly? ceedot
Rockstar said that they have chosed music to fit the LC style, and like other GTA games, the music has been great. I won't worry too much. Just no 50 cent.
Ph3L1z14n0
Well, as stated i the IGN interview, the music in the trailer is by a famous rapper in Russia called Serjoga, the song's name is "King Ring". Thing is part of this music will be from the eastern european radio station, as we already have Ruslana lending her voice and licensed music. K^2
The song actually sounded Russian. Though, I only managed to catch a few words, so I can't be sure. I'll listen to it again some time later and see if I can actually hear enough words to be certain. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. Metall-Head
The latest trailer had a bit of a Nu-Metal feel to it, but for the most part hip-hop. I can see the soundtrack being mostly composed of Hip-Hop and Rap, with some country, rock, metal and others I can't think of.
Californian
i think they also said there just wont be music from present but also from the past (90's) so im gonna guess that Biggie Smalls is a must since its LC (NYC)
Fakey_91
The song actually sounded Russian. Though, I only managed to catch a few words, so I can't be sure. I'll listen to it again some time later and see if I can actually hear enough words to be certain. It is Russian Rap. The song is King Ring by Seryoga. Russia's most successfull rapper, and he is quite known in USA also. He toured there!! Another Ukranian/Russian artist will be in the game - the chick who won Eurovision a couple of years ago. I imagine a European radio will be in the game with Russian, Serbian music etc... Look what R* had to say about the choice of music in the trailer: "He's the most popular rap artist in Russia by far, and we chose it partly because we felt it captured the spirit of the game - Russian dance rap maybe epitomizes the melting pot mentality of Liberty City - but mostly because we felt the track gave the trailer a unique feeling and energy. The soundtrack (and the radio it is played on) has been expanded and developed for Grand Theft Auto's high-definition debut." http://au.xbox360.ign.com/articles/840/840000p1.html
Toni Antonio Cipriani
That is the song featured in the third trailer. I actually listened to it over and over again! It rocked just as much as Arm in Arm (Shy Child Mix). Kudos, Rockstar! Merry Christmas. Ave Maria!
