AndrewGuy12
If anyone here can remember in Vice City, there was a Sonic Skin pack. It was very nice and awsome. It would be really cool if that was in San Andreas. Heres the link for the Vice City Sonic Player Mod http://grandtheftauto.filefront.com/file/S...Skin_Pack;71538. Can Someone tell me how I can convert it to San Andreas? Edited December 8, 2007 by AndrewGuy12
DemonKing
you will need to rig it to san andreas you first off need either this tool Gmax or 3DS MAX and this tutorial might help with your rigging Rigging Tut
AndrewGuy12
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE A REPLLYYYY. Well you are correct because I have 3D Max and I Have tried that tutorial. I try and try and cant get it right. I get to the paint weights part then I just get confused. And I dont want to give up and let someone else do it because It would be so awsome to post a mod (by me ) geting sonic into SA, people would love that! Plus I got a cool idea if it works. Is it even possible to convert that skin model though? Because I dont think I ever seen a model in SA thats not a human (different player model). Like usually player mods in SA are just haircuts and new textures but this sonic mod is an actual player.dff so how can that work? DemonKing
why don't you try rigging it to a ped. it will be much easier for your first time. as for the texture i'm not to sure.
AndrewGuy12
NO! lol I want it to be a player you can use.But now I think I know what I'm doing, but then I try to export. I got an error saying Unknown property:"Transform" in undefined! Any idea what that means? thanksssssssss. Oh and theres another error I dont know what it means either, it says, "Run time error: Array Index must be a positive number, got: undefined" For some reason 3d Max is using the escuse of undefined so it cant export my model. Freakin ay mane. When the transform error comes up a modifier is added called Unwrap UVW, what does that mean? I thought maybe it was the import/export script so I installed another one. This time when I try to export it doesnt give me errors but instead crashes. I think this is a better thing because I dont think I used all the vertices (there is a lottt of Vertices in this model). So if you know can you tell me how I could find out which vertices are being used? THANKSSS !!!!! Edited December 13, 2007 by AndrewGuy12
DemonKing
through the use of Y.A.P.S you can select peds to play as. anyway for your problem you better ask creative madman the creator of the tut for rigging.
AndrewGuy12
What is Y.A.P.S? And what is the difference betweem rigging bones to a ped rather then a player, like is it easier? How? Thanks for your reply its awsome knowing someone is answering me lol And also before I tried using the player.dff bones to rig my model to I think I did use a ped's bones (The FBI Ped Model) and I got the same type of errors. Man I wish the easiest rigging tutorial on earth was just a bit more easier for me. I go through the steps almost perfectly (I'm really annoyed of having to redo it so much times lol) and somehow it just keeps finding reasons to get mad at me. -I have msn so i added creative madman but I dont think he goes on it anymore because hes never online. Plus he must be already too annoyed of people asking questions. Edited December 13, 2007 by AndrewGuy12
