grafstar
Ok i decided to start playing GTA:SA again the other day and i noticed the chessy clothes he gets to wear so i though i would look up some skins and change them but they weren't what i was looking for, so i thought i should make my own. So this is where im stuck: I go into the player.img with GTA Ultimate Editor (GTAUE) and take the hoodyagreen.txd and export it as a .BMP then i open it with corel photo-paint and re-texture it, and save it. Then i import it back with GTAUE and save it as a .txd. Then i use Alci's IMG editor i open player.img and replace the old hoodyagreen.txd with mine and save it. So when i open the game i go and try on the hoody it's CJ's skin as the hoody so he looks all flabby . So i took take a pre-made skin from a site (it was just a .txd) and loaded it up the same way with Alci's and that persons skin worked. So what am i doing wrong with my skins? Any help will do me great, i really want to get into this and do some great clothing skins, if i every get it to work. If there are any questions just ask. (sorry if this alittle much) P.S.. where do i find the street sign that says Groove St on it, in the game files so i can try and re-texture that. Use TXD Workshop to import/export BMPs from TXDs. Use MEd to load the LAe2.IPL map, select the sign and look at the file info. Then search the gta3.img archive for said file. There are other tools but these are just my prefs^. Sorry no links... just search, you can find them here.
