cold fusion 33
Trains are a good way off losing the police for a little while... thats pretty much the only time I use them apart from riding them for the sake of it.
Skirge
Sometimes I just kill time by riding trains. But yes, there should be more stops and also El-Train should be in Staundon and SSV, too. I use trains every 2nd time I play LCS.
Rashon.
I rarely use them but usually if I don't feel like driving or need to get to a hurry in a part of that island, I'll use the subway or ferry port.

xNamexTakenx
If I'm doing the missions, then no. But, if I'm just ponyfarming, then yes! It's fun! On the El-Train, it's fun seeing the peds run into the train and SQUASH! It's f*cking hilarious! Dumb AI. Although, it would be cool seeing the peds use the El-Train or subway. But, you're right. It does take too long. But, if you noticed, there's a lot of gang war going on in the one in Chinatown. Even though it's Triad turf, there's always Leones fighting them. In the subway station, I usually just cause mayhem! I like beating people up. And the posters are funny. I especially like going to the one on the border of Chinatown and Red Light District. The Triads keep on talking about how they're going to kill the Leones, but I waste 'em! But, the thing is, if your wanted level goes up, the police always spawn in the subway station. I was going to get on the El-train when three triads were minding their own business when one guy shot me I knocked him down and he fell on the tracks, while the other two I killed as soon as the train passed and killed the first triad who attacked me lol.................but I had to wait for the next train with a star on me. So yeah it is fun to run people over especially when you do the follow me cheat. Then you bring everyone down on the tracked and watch blood spill. But yeah it is very anoying to wait for the train. But I do take it when I don't feel like driving and it does get you going fast. I just wish you could skip the trip like with the ferry.
saintdave
I have ridden the train before, but usually when not attempting any missions or side quests. Just as a way to travel without any effort. Most of the time I will go down to the underground tracks on a motorbike and ride along on the tracks, this can be especially useful when running from the law. MrMagic50
I used to ride the subway all the time but once I got off at SSV and a whole bunch of Columbians were waiting to kill me and they succeeded.

Yeah, but then the subway smashes into you, and runs you over lol. SPLAT!
saintdave
Nah, as long as your careful to look behind you and look ahead you can easily ride along the tracks unharmed and manoeuvre between the trains so to not get wasted.
discovery97
Yeah, but then the subway smashes into you, and runs you over lol. SPLAT! If you go on a regular chopper sometimes I go so fast the engine sounds like it will explode which sadly happened to my brother playing SA, lol. Anyways sometimes I beat the speed of the train but you have to make sure you don't steer uncontrolably towards the train or your stuck.
gtrking
i just use them to kill my motorcycles by putting them on the tracks or riding them head on with the train i did it with a couple times with a car too

The Night Fox
Yea, I use the El train, it's a good way to escape cops when you have a lot of Stars, also, Years ago, in the Glory days of GTA III, I would travel on the El Train for Hours with lots of stars watching them on the ground, ahhh, The memories

The trains use the left track. And very often if you ride a bike very fast, you wont meet a train before the train stop because it wont load in the middle of a track.
