The template you are using is pretty decent, and a good place to start but there is really too much to tell you, especially when there are some excellent resources already out there. K^2
Find a basic HTML tutorial. With some practice, all you need to make any kind of layout you want is notepad and an image editor. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.

Toadyd
photoshop/imageready will slice a psd file, if you use another software package it probably does the same. Don't rely on the html imageready comes out with though, if you do actually want to learn how to make a better site the only way to go about it is learning how it actually goes together. K^2
You can actually cut up images in MS Paint. All you have to do is use selection tool, copy the selected areas, and paste them into a new image. But it is not the fastest way of doing it. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
GentlemanSquid
is there a site where you can ask for templates you want and they make for you for free.
Toadyd
Probably, try looking on google. Why would people bother though? There are sites like www.openwebdesign.org and www.oswd.org that offer free open source templates, you might find something you can work with there. But if you get a template someone else has made, but then you don't understand the principles behind it, updating and managing your website will surely be needlessly time consuming and confusing. You say you aren't very good at learning stuff like that, what have you tried to learn in the past? In an afternoon you could get a basic understanding, all it takes is a little time and effort. Failing that, you have to pay for the services of other people that have taken the time and effort to learn. You shouldn't feel the need to make a website for the sake of it, and you don't need to rush into something massive. Just take it one step at a time, learn at your own pace and don't try and over-complicate and rush things just take it steady.
