Actually, this is the end. Heart City, Heart City Stories, Return to Heart City. I can't do any more than that.

My friend Alan and I loosely talked about doing a game-script together, set in Mexico. But it won't happen, because once I finish this, I'm finished with game-scripts.

You can find the previous two stories in my sig.

You're exactly where the previous mission left you off at - with four and a half stars and two police cruisers right behind you. Get to a pay 'n' spray in Gadebridge City and lose the heat, then get to the motel in the Downtown district and save your game.

You're down to four icons remaining; each for the four gangs. To do missions for each gang, you must have atleast 50% respect for the gang. If you do not have 50%, you can go to the gang's base and go behind the base and walk into the small purple marker to do small jobs for the gang, to achieve their trust again and gain respect and money. Much like in VCS, you'll be drug running, smuggling, robbing, stealing certain vehicles, etc. Each small job will give 5% respect, and £1,000 cash. If you're at 100% respect for the gang, each small job will rake in £3,000 per job - this will be very useful for property development later. First, we're going to do the Zaibatsu's gang missions, so change your outfit into the Zaibatsu suit and go out of the motel and grab your Banshee, then speed over to their base in Heart City. Park into the yellow marker outside of the old Victorian-like building and the screen will fade to black.

Zaibatsu War Mission; [Part One]: Hazy Eyed

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The camera shows Gerry walking beside a man with short blonde hair, combed over and parted to the left with thick glasses on. He's walking with a cane in his left hand and him and Gerry are both walking through a laboratory. Scientists are working on various things as the man continues on with the conversation [that they were having before the screen faded in].

Gerry: Look, Stan -- boss, my aiming is top notch. You should know this yourself, do you really think I'm gonna need this to take down a lousy meth lab?

Stanley: And I've said to you before: you are under contract to the Zaibatsu. I own you, and you'll do as you're told. The Caribbeans are catering in tales of meth; they have a boat offshore heading north to Wychmere and Welton State. Meth is one drug nobody will touch in this state, so you see, they're expanding. The barrels inside of the ship are filled with special chemicals - one bullet penetrating through the exterior and the explosion will be so catastrophic, the fire will burn through and melt flesh and bone. You can't be anywhere near the barrels when they blow, therefore you'll need our experimental drug. Take it with water, and your accuracy will be boosted ten-fold, meaning you can blow the barrels from a safe distance.

Gerry looks confused and shakes his head as a man in a white labcoat hands him a bottle of water and a yellow pill. He looks at Stanley, then at the pill. He puts it in his mouth and swallows it down and the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

You're standing outside of the Zaibatsu base of operations. A blue blip has appeared far north of Heart City and a message appears on-screen: "Get a boat and get to the ship's meth lab and destroy the barrels of chemicals."

Grab a boat on the edge of the city and speed over to the ship. Upon arrival, you'll be under fire from Caribbean Cartel men on the ship. Press triangle and free-hand an M16 and take the eight men down. Speed over to the purple marker at the ship's base entrance and the screen will fade to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

You're on the ship, and gang members begin flooding towards you from the next room. Your accuracy is in a HD-like stance, and every time you manual-aim a gun, everything goes into slow motion. Quickly waste the gang members and the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry starts walking towards the next room and he loses balance and becomes heavily fatigued. He stumbles into the wall and drops the M16 on the floor and he drops down to his knees and begins throwing up. The camera goes through Gerry's vision, and he holds his hands up and his vision is starting to become blurry. The camera cuts to more Cartel members running through the next room towards the door.

END OF CUTSCENE

The camera is now very blurry, to the point where all you can make out is moving blobs representing people. A message appears on-screen: "The drug is failing. Find the barrels and destroy them before you black out!"

As every thirty seconds pass in real time, your screen will become slightly darker; you're beginning to black out. Kill the Cartel members quickly and blips appear all over the ship's base for the barrels. There are twelve total, with three being on the top floor and three on the basement floor. Run through the main room and you'll be under fire. Waste anything that moves and take out the six barrels in the room - remember, stand far back, as the explosion will be immense; the camera violently shakes each time you fire at one, and the ship will start to become covered in flames, which are rather hard to see. Find the stairs to the basement and go down them and waste the five Cartel men down there, then take the barrels out. The basement is now covered in ember, so try and carefully see where the flames are and avoid going through them and go back up to the level floor.

Find the stairs to the next floor and go up. Waste the five Cartel gang members up there and take the barrels out. Again, now the entire top floor is covered in fire; avoid the rising flames and go back down to the level floor. The level floor is collapsing fast, and flames will be completely coating the walls and majority of the floor. When you manage to shift through the burning ship and out the front door, the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry jumps off the ship and dives into the water as the boat bursts into flames and explodes. He surfaces from the water, and he rubs his eyes with the salt water and blinks over and over. He holds his hands up and looks at them. The camera rolls through his eyes once more, and his vision slowly comes back. He rubs more water into his eyes and begins swimming over to the boat you arrived in as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

Mission Passed.

Respect: The Zaibatsu (+10), Caribbean Cartel (-8), The Yakuza (+6), La Resistance (-4)

Pay: £15,000.

Hmm, drug use. interesting gameplay feature, I say. Something like VC but with the added overdose effect and I like the way it was used! Brilliant idea.

You're in the small white boat from the previous mission, next to the flaming wreck that is the meth ship. You'll notice that the respect of the Yakuza also raised, because their main war targets are the Cartel, which you just took out - and La Resistance went down because they're mostly going up against the Zaibatsu - this means imminent factions will begin to form. Speed through the open waters and go south and dock at the Heart City port and get back onto land. Go save your game at the motel and then grab your Banshee and speed back over to the Zaibatsu gang base. Walk into the yellow marker and the screen will fade to black.

Zaibatsu War Mission; [Part Two]: Speed

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The screen fades in to the same room you were in last time, except further along. Gerry is walking alongside Stanley, and the two have been having a conversation off-screen, much like before. Stanley stops at a large chrome door attatched to the wall, with a vault lock on it.

Stanley: Well, that was my mistake of not beta testing the drug first, I suppose. The fact that you eliminated the meth lab with bad vision is even more impressive to me; I think me and you will get on well if you fly right.

Gerry: Thank you, sir.

Stanley: Now, on with business shall we?

Stanley grabs ahold of the chamber door and turns the vault lock to the left and steam begins pouring from the room as the door is opened. Gerry steps back and coughs a little bit.

Stanley: We're experimenting with bringing cryo-frozen bodies back to a stable and balanced state. We're not even close to figuring out how to complete this task yet, but the Zaibatsu headquarters over in Anywhere City will have better use with these bodies than us. All you've gotta do is transport them to the airport and be on the look out of any rival attacks. Word leaked that we're transfering these today and, like children, the gangs of this state will do anything to see us fail. I'll be driving one car, you'll be driving another. We watch out for each other and we'll be just fine.

The smoke clears, and Gerry and Stanley enter into the cryogenic lab. A few men in white coats enter in and begin wheeling the bodies out, which are strapped to a table in clear plastic bags, still clothed. The first one is wheeled past Gerry and Stanley and on the second one, Stanley stops the trolley and moves in closer towards it.

Stanley: I'm entrusting this body with you, Warren. This is a special case. We found him in Liberty City just over one year ago, badly injured. After running some tests and accessing his memory, we found he was a very special case indeed.

The camera shows Claude Speed laying flat on the metal trolley in a clear zip-up bag, only the top of his ripped black leather jacket and head visable. The man in the coat resumes wheeling him out as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

You're sitting inside of a black limousine. Next to you is another black limousine. It starts driving. There is a blue blip on the mini-radar for the airport in Gadebridge City. Start driving behind the other limousine, or you'll get a message saying "Don't lose Stanley's limousine." After thirty seconds, an in-game chat starts up.

Stanley (OS): Warren, can you hear me?

Gerry: Huh?

Stanley (OS): I'm using a two-way we've put in these limos. How's the body doing back there?

Gerry: Uh. Yeah, it's fine.

Stanley (OS): Good. Follow me and we'll be there in no time.

After crossing the bridge into Downtown, there will be a barricade of La Resistance members, with their cars and soldiers on foot, each wielding Uzi machine pistols.

Stanley (OS): You go ahead, I'll cover you the best I can. That body is too valuable to lose!

Stanley's passenger and your passenger in the limo will fire out the side of the windows. Also, Zaibatsu Stingers will arrive and provide essential back-up, too. A message appears on-screen: "Don't take too much punishment to the vehicle." A damage meter appears on the right-hand side of the screen, and cars will constantly be trying to ram at you, so you'll need to do drive-bys yourself. After getting out of the Downtown district and into Gadebridge City, you'll be under attack from the Caribbean Cartel. Avoid punishment as much as possible and get to the airport. Park in the purple marker beside the back entrance and the screen will fade to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The limos pull into the back entrance and they stop. Gerry and Stanley get out, as do the passengers of each limo. Stanley approaches Gerry, walking slowly with his slick black cane. He hands Gerry a brown envelope.

Stanley: Call back in a few days and we'll have more bodies to transfer.

Gerry: Thank you, sir.

A Zaibatsu Stinger pulls up next to Stanley and he opens the passenger-side door and gets inside and it slowly drives away as the screen fades to black.

Cryo-frozen. That mission links up as to why he was unfrozen in Anywhere City in 2013 for GTA2. It also links up to what happened to him after Roberto let him fall from the building in 2006 [TC].

You're standing at the back of the Gadebridge City airport. Run out onto the road and jack a car. You're down to three icons remaining. After you've done one gang's set of war missions, a radio report will flare in the first vehicle you enter.

Reporter: Ladies and gentlement of Green State, it is my pleasure to reveal to you, your loyal host Greg Montgomery has recieved breaking news this afternoon: Downtown's train station will be re-opening shortly! Commissioned to close in 2004 due to a massive crash, this will be the first time the train station will be re-tested and analyzed. More on this news when we recieve it.

After that report, your phone will ring. Gerry will answer it automatically.

Gerry: I put you on my caller-ID as 'Anonymous', that alright with you?

Voice (OS): Do as you please, Gerald, you know that. It's come to my attention you're working for each gang during their little arguments. Be careful, but I don't have to tell you that, do I?

Gerry: (Laughs) Nope. I'm in a good mood for once.

Voice (OS): That's nice. Now listen, property development, I want you to head over to that train station Downtown, you're going to put an offer in on managing the place. Price is 50, so I hope you have the money and haven't spent it all on fancy guns.

Gerry: Alright, anything else?

Voice (OS): That's it for now. I'll call you the next time I have any news.

The conversation ends. A red blip which is flashing has appeared at the train station in the Downtown district. Go over to it and park in the glowing red marker and a message will appear on-screen: "Manage property? Yes / No." Move the joystick onto 'Yes' and press the X button. You'll be deducted £50,000 and the train station now appears as an "M-B" [managing-business] on the map, and on the mini-radar if you're in range of the train station. It will spawn £2,000 a day.

Speed over to the motel and save your game, and then change your outfit. This time, change into La Resistance's outfit and go back outside and get into your Banshee and speed over to their base in the Downtown area and park into the blue marker outside for the screen to fade to black.

Resistance War Mission; [Part One]: Strip Club Salvation

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Just like the last war mission, the camera cuts to Gerry already in the base. A lot of gang members are talking at a brown oval table, as a couple of strippers start walking away. Lavie and Marko stand up and take one each by the hand.

Lavie: Slow down, you don't have to go anywhere yet.

Stripper: We've gotta go to the club and work. See-ya later, lads.

Marko's phone begins ringing. He takes it out of his pocket and answers it. After a few moments he looks around the room and then at Gerry as he hangs the phone up.

Marko: Yo, we've got a little problem. (Turns around and yells at the two strippers) Girls, don't go to the club! It's being ransacked!

Lavie: F*ck, again?

Marko: You and Warren go teach whoever these kids are a lesson or two in what it means to be gangsters in this town.

Marko tosses his MP60 to Gerry and he and Lavie begin walking towards the exit, as half a dozen La Resistance members begin following suit, and the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

You're standing outside of the base with Lavie by your side. A message appears on-screen: "Get to the club and find out what's happening before it's completely ruined." A damage meter has appeared on the right-hand side of the screen, labeled 'Building Damage'.

Get into an Esperanto parked out front and Lavie will get in with you. A blue blip appears for the strip club. Speed over to it and park into the purple marker for the screen to fade to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry and Lavie approach the building. Screaming and gunshots can be heard inside and both men arm themselves with the MP60s. They shuffle up to the wall beside the entrance door and look at each other, then both peel back and kick the door open. The camera cuts to inside, where the Yakuza and Cartel are at war with each other.

Lavie: (Dives behind the car) f*ck! I thought it was just those cowboy assholes from before! Damn it, this is pathetic...they're fighting over who gets dibs on the strip club.

Gerry: Come on, these clowns aren't getting it.

Gerry runs inside as Lavie begins to follow.

END OF CUTSCENE

A dozen soldiers of each gang turn their attention on you and Lavie. A health bar appears for Lavie in the right-hand corner of the screen. Take cover behind a bar and eliminate all of the men. When all are dead, the screen will fade to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry and Lavie are carefully walking over dead dancers and dead gang soldiers. Gerry sees a girl cowering in the corner of the strip club, covered in blood. He goes up to her and bends down and strokes the long brown hair from covering her face, and it's Lynn Grolschea.

Gerry: I didn't expect to find you in a place like this. Lose your appetite?

Lynn is shaking and crying. Gerry helps her up and looks over at Lavie.

Gerry: I'm gonna take her home, tell Marko what happened.

The sound of a chopper can be heard in the closing distance, and the distinct sounds of a minigun can be heard firing. Lavie and Gerry look at each other briefly before Gerry tosses Lynn over his shoulder and they both start charging for the door. They get out of the building and turn around, looking up into the clouded sky, seeing a large brown helicopter firing rounds of a minigun from the side of the door down at the strip club. They continue running and the camera shows the club burst into flames and explode.

Gerry runs over to a parked Yakuza Infernus and rams his elbow into the window and it shatters. He unlocks the door from the inside and tosses Lynn into the seat and closes the door. He runs round to the other side and gets inside and looks out to Lavie, who's getting into another Yakuza Infernus across the other side of the parking lot.

Gerry: (Yells) This sh*t ain't small time! This is the Zaibatsu's sh*t!

Lavie: (Yells) I don't need telling, Warren! Just go!

END OF CUTSCENE

Zaibatsu Stingers begin flooding the parking lot, and that deadly helicopter with the minigun is coming in fast. Speed out of there, and Lavie will go to the east. Go west and the helicopter will come after you and you'll hear the minigun being fired, and small grey blips on the mini-radar will represent the line of fire, so dodge it the best you can. A blip also appears on-screen for the dam in New Stanford.

You'll constantly be under attack from Zaibatsu Stingers, and if you stay in one spot long enough, that helicopter is going to catch up to you and destroy your car instantly. Drive over to New Stanford and park into the purple marker beside the dam entrance and the screen will fade to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry skids the Infernus to a halt and the helicopter flies by over head. It begins to try and spin around but the propellers hit the large dam wall and the chopper spins out of control and goes lower and lower into the dam. An explosion is heard and smoke rises up from inside the dam. It begins raining as the camera cuts to inside of the car, and Gerry looks at a stunned Lynn.

Gerry: Guess you need to find another job. Bye.

Lynn: But...

Lynn looks down and twiddles her thumbs and then opens the door and gets out. Gerry reverses the car and drives away as the screen fades to black with her standing alone in the rain, crying.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

Mission Passed.

You're at the gates leading to New Stanford. Go save your game at the motel in the Downtown district and then drive over to La Resistance's base and park in the blue marker for the screen to fade to black.

Resistance War Mission; [Part Two]: Sending A Message

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The camera fades in with Gerry sitting on a wooden chair at the same oval table as before. Marko is sitting on the table with his arms folded across his chest, and Lavie stands next to him in the same stance. Infront of Marko are his soldiers, each standing and listening to every word he speaks.

Marko: It's time to send all three of them a message. A message that we're not to be f*cked with just because we aren't in the same positions as all of them; the Zaibatsu have their lab, the Cartel have all the money in the world, and the Yakuza own the major slates of each city. What needs to be done?

Marko looks down to Gerry, who stands to his feet.

Gerry: We send a message through eliminating the only gang not active in this war. We eliminate the Rejects, and from spending my time as a cop, I can vouch that they have ties with the Cartel and the Yakuza.

Marko grins and pats Gerry on the shoulder, as Lavie walks over to Gerry and Marko who stands up straight.

Marko: We out-number them by plenty. Lavie, you stay back with some men and guard the base while we go take them out.

Lavie: Sure thing, boss.

Marko leads Gerry and some La Resistance members away as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Marko and Gerry are behind the base. Marko is rummaging through a dumpster and he takes out a black bag and hands it to Gerry. Gerry unwraps it, revealing a heat-seeking Sniper Rifle. Gerry looks it over as Marko slams the dumpster shut.

Marko: Stay back, make sure things go smoothly. Know where their base is located at?

Gerry: I do. I'll lead.

Gerry leads Marko away as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

You're sitting inside of a La Resistance Esperanto, and Marko is in the passenger seat. A blue blip appears on the mini-radar for the Reject's base in the Wastelands. Make your way to it and park in the purple marker across the street from it and the screen will fade to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

A dozen Esperantos skid to a stop outside of the Reject's base. Rejects members outside of it begin to start running inside, and La Resistance members start opening fire on them as they lean out the windows holding MP60s. The camera cuts to inside of the base, where Gary Strohmeyer and Brian Massaro are both alerted by Rejects running through and collecting guns.

Gary: Tommy, what the hell's goin' on?

Gary and Brian both stand to their feet from the small wooden table, where they were playing cards and drinking a beer each.

Tommy: (Breathing heavily) La Resistance is waging war on us, Gary!

Brian: (Tosses his cigarette onto the floor) I'll call Nate and see if we can get some Cartel down here to back us up.

The camera cuts to outside, where Rejects and Resistance soldiers exchange fire; Rejects are using the front yard and their cars as cover, while Resistance are using their cars and street posts. Marko and Gerry pull up.

Marko: Find a good vantage point and start popping on these kids.

Marko gets out of the car and starts firing his MP60 at Rejects.

END OF CUTSCENE

A small purple blip appears on the mini-radar across the street and east a little bit, where a building with a broken down billboard on top of it sits. Get out of the Esperanto and run over to it and step into the small purple marker and a message appears on-screen: "Get to the top of the building and make sure Marko doesn't die!"

A health meter for Marko has appeared in the right-hand side of the screen. Go around back and climb the steel staircase and get on top of the building and set up next to the billboard and take aim. The heat-seek will only seek out Reject gang members, so start popping as many as possible. They'll be ducking in and out of things from time to time, causing you a harder shot. After two minutes, the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Black Patriots begin speeding through, and Cartel members fire from their windows, killing some La Resistance members. Gary and Brian both run outside, each packing M16s. They start firing at La Resistance members as Cartel members get out of their cars.

END OF CUTSCENE

A message appears on-screen: "Kill Gary Strohmeyer."

An orange blip appears on the mini-radar for Gary, who's lost in a sea of Cartel and Rejects gang members. Take aim and start killing whoever gets heat-seeked and when you finally find Gary after killing two dozen men, take aim and shoot him once and he'll fall down as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Brian and Gary are shooting at La Resistance members, when a bullet pierces through Gary's chest and he's flung backwards and onto the floor, dropping his M16. Brian stops shooting and looks over at him, then his eyes begin darting around. He sees Gerry standing next to the billboard with the rifle.

Brian: Warren, you f*cking sellout piece'a sh*t!

Brian gets clipped in the shoulder by Marko. Marko starts to reload and Brian takes aim and shoots him once between the eyes. Marko drops his gun and falls backwards. Brian gets to his feet and runs over to a Patriot, avoiding fire from La Resistance members and he gets inside and speeds away.

The camera cuts to Gerry on the building. He's got his phone to his ear and a ringing sound can be heard.

Lavie (OS): Hey, how'd it go?

Gerry: Not good. They called in the Cartel. Marko's dead.

Lavie (OS): (Screaming) Marko's dead!? What the f*ck do you mean Marko's dead!? Marko ain't dead! You're the one who's f*ckin' dead! F*ck you!

The line goes dead and Gerry sighs as the screen fades to black.

You're standing where the previous mission left you off; at the top of the roof, with dead gang members everywhere across the street. After a few seconds, your phone will ring. Press triangle to answer it.

Gerry: To what do I owe the pleasure?

Voice (OS): La Resistance is gunning for you, so watch your back.

Gerry: Thanks for the heads up. But I figured that out on my own.

Voice (OS): Also, that motel you've been staying at upon arrival is up for sale. I suggest this be your next bid in property development, unless you want to be homeless.

The line goes dead. A flashing red blip has appeared at the motel in the Downtown district. Jump off the roof and steal a Patriot and speed into Downtown and go to the motel and park in the glowing red marker. A message appears on-screen: "Purchase property? Yes / No." Move the joystick onto 'Yes' and press the X button. You'll be deducted £35,000. An "O-B" [owning-business] will appear on the mini-radar when you're in range of it. It will spawn £2,500 a day.

Go inside and save your game then change your outfit. This time, we're going to change into the Yakuza's outfit. Go outside and grab your Banshee and speed over to Suni's cabin in the countryside of Gadebridge City and park into the magneta marker for the screen to fade to black.

Yakuza War Mission; [Part One]: Dropping Signals

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The camera fades in with Gerry just entering into Suni's house. Suni closes the door behind him and turns to look at him.

Suni: La Resistance are beginning to become a thorn in my side. I've called in back-up from Japan to help us out in this on-going war, so until then we have to sit tight. La Resistance are moving to new places. They seem to think they're becoming big time now, so they're expanding. Gonna try set up another base somewhere else.

Gerry: Tailing their cars won't work.

Suni: I'm already ahead of you on that one. I can't get ahold of Loki, his phone's been switched off all week, so I'm gonna ask you to go south from here into the woods. There's a chopper waiting for you, and it's rigged to drop tracking devices. Put one on a car from a safe height and we'll take it from there.

Gerry heads to the door and opens it up as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

A purple blip appears on the radar for the helicopter south of Suni's cabin deeper into the woods. A message appears on-screen: "Successfully place three transmitters on La Resistance Esperantos." Run south and get to the helicopter and get inside of it. A message appears on-screen when you enter: "Press the circle button to drop a transmitter. You only have six." You will also have a spook meter on the right-hand corner of the screen.

No blips appear on the mini-radar, so fly over and into the Downtown district. When a La Resistance gang car comes into view, a message will appear on-screen: "Place a transmitter on the car." If you get too low to the ground, your spook meter will begin to fill up. Stay high, float over it and drop the transmitter. Wait for the gang cars to stop at red lights for it to be much easier.

When you've placed three transmitters onto cars, the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The camera cuts to Gerry inside of the helicopter and his cell phone begins ringing. He takes it out of his pocket and answers it.

Gerry: Yeah?

Suni (OS): One of those gang cars have headed into Heart City, some building down there I think. Fly over it and take a look at what we're dealing with here.

END OF CUTSCENE

A blue blip has appeared in Heart City. A message appears on-screen: "Fly over and see what they're up to for Suni." Pilot the chopper into Heart City and when you arrive at the blip, the screen will fade to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The camera cuts to La Resistance men standing beside their gang cars outside of the large building the Triads were using when you killed Jen. The chopper flies over head and the La Resistance members look up at it. The camera cuts to the roof, where La Resistance members rush out of the door and look up at the helicopter as it circles around above. They start firing at it with MP60s.

The camera cuts to Gerry and he's panicking inside of the chopper, as alarms begin to sound inside of it. He desperately tries to pilot it away safely but it begins spiralling down to the roof below. The helicopter crushes the La Resistance gang members as it crashes into the roof.

The camera cuts to inside the building where soldiers are rushing towards the roof. The camera cuts back up to the roof, where Gerry is pulling himself from the downed copter. He gets out and runs across the roof as it explodes.

END OF CUTSCENE

La Resistance members begin piling through the door in the masses armed with MP60s. Take out any that come, and when no more come, a blue arrow appears at the foot of the door. Run over to it and go inside. A message appears on-screen: "Stealth won't work, they know you're here. Get out by any means necessary."

Each floor will have four La Resistance members armed with MP60s. Take cover and take them out. There are eighteen floors total, so that's nearly sixty gang members you'll need to kill. When you get to the bottom floor, go outside of the doors and La Resistance members will surround you. Take cover behind one of their gang cars and duck in and out and shoot them with an M16. Shoot their cars if you get the chance aswell, to cause an explosion to take a group out. When all are dead, the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry gets inside of an Esperanto and takes his phone out and dials. He puts it to his ear.

Gerry: Boss, you don't need to worry about them moving locations anymore. Taken care of.

Suni (OS): Excellent. Good work.

The camera fades to black as Gerry puts his phone away.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

You're sitting inside of a La Resistance gang car outside of the building you had to escape from in Heart City. Head over to the motel and save your game, then grab your Banshee and speed back over to Suni's cabin and park into the magneta marker for the screen to fade to black.

Yakuza War Mission; [Part Two]: Static Signals

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry slowly jogs up the wooden steps of Suni's cabin. He arrives on the porch and coughs into his closed left hand lightly then knocks on the door with the same hand. After a few moments of standing around, the door opens and Suni has a smile on his face when he sees Gerry.

Suni: Earlier I had a revelation, and it must be a sign that you're here.

Gerry: What needs done?

Suni: As I sat on my couch earlier, drinking a scotch and flicking through the radio to see what's going on in day-to-day news, seeing if any gang activity is mentioned, I arrived on a pop station. That pop station is owned by our old friend Nate Barcalow.

Gerry's eyes light up and he smiles.

Gerry: Say no more. Just get me a helicopter and bring it to the woods south of here.

Gerry begins walking away as Suni smiles in the doorway as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry is standing at the entrance to the woods as a helicopter comes into view. It's a large black FBI helicopter and it begins slowly setting down near Gerry, blowing dust and dirt in a whirlwind as Gerry shields his eyes from it.

The chopper lands and a Yakuza member gets out of it and tosses the keys to Gerry and the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

A large blue blip has appeared on the mini-radar for the Mini FM building in Gadebridge City. Get into the helicopter and take flight. A message will appear on-screen: "Fly up to the corona and when you arrive at it, jump out of the helicopter." A small purple blip has appeared to the east of the radio station now. If you tune your radio into Mini FM inside of the helicopter, for this one mission only, there will be a different script than the usual music and talking Mini does. The script will be of Mini interviewing Bradley Churchill - who made a brief appearance in the original Heart City game.

Fly through Gadebridge City and fly through the corona then press the triangle button to jump from the chopper. You'll have a parachute and a message appears on-screen: "Pull the chord now."

When you pull the chord, the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

The camera cuts to inside of a large office, half of which is the on-air studio, where Mini McAllester is sitting with a pair of headphones on, drinking a cup of coffee and with a few guests sitting opposite her, with their backs turned to the camera.

Mini: Well, that was intelligent input from the one and only Bradley Churchill. The gold edition of his Liberty Times best seller, 'Did I really kill my 97-year-old wife for her fortune?' will be released next month, on April 29th, 2008.

Mini looks to her left and sees a helicopter spinning and declining in height right towards the room. She stands up and starts screaming.

The camera cuts outside where you witness the helicopter smash into the side of the building. Half the building explodes and it starts crumbling at the bottom, as Gerry glides safely away from it.

The camera shows police and fire engines begin to pull up everywhere down below, and Gerry drops down into the middle of all the police officers, and they all aim their 9mm pistols at him.

Officer: Freeze!

END OF CUTSCENE

You now have a grand six-star wanted level - the first in a story-related mission of the game, and cops are surrounding you. Forget about staying and shooting them, just grab the nearest police squad car and speed out of there. After a while, Tanks will be coming for you, along with Hunters in the sky and Barracks' blocking off all main roads, with army officials wielding M4s. The moment you get a free chance, get out of the police squad car and into a normal car.

A message now appears on-screen: "The army are all over you! Get to a pay 'n' spray!" Pay 'n' spray blips appear all over the mini-radar, which will be confusing unless you know the routes to each one well or want to keep pausing the game to check which one you're closest to on the map. Stay alive, get to a pay 'n' spray, lose the wanted level. When you do, you'll hear a ringing sound inside of the car.

Suni (OS): Hey, holy f*ck! I'm watching this on the news right now. You did a number on Nate's radio station. God be damned if he truly exists! Cops are reporting it as a terrorist attack, so you're in the clear. Good work, Warren.

The conversation ends and the mission is complete.

Mission Passed.

The next time you step out of a vehicle, your phone will ring. Speed over to the motel in the Downtown district and step out of whatever car you're in and the phone will ring. Press triangle to answer it.

Gerry: What now? I'm busy.

Voice (OS): No time for me? Then I won't tell you what I know.

Gerry: (Sighs) Fine, go on.

Voice (OS): These wars show no signs of ending. And I don't think you'll be able to take down the leaders of each gang without that little team you assembled. Stay away for a while.

Gerry: What do you mean?

Voice (OS): There's a piece of property for sale off the coast of Gadebridge City - a lighthouse. Go purchase it, lay low out of each major city and stay out of sight until you can get your team together, then make plans to take down each gang leader.

Gerry: Alright, I'll take the advice.

Voice (OS): And Gerry, I saw what you were just up to. Try and stay low profile from now on, alright?

The line goes dead. A flashing red blip has appeared on the mini-radar out at sea, about 500 meteres south of Gadebridge City. Change your outfit to the Caribbean Cartel's, then go to the docks and grab a boat and get to the lighthouse. Exit the boat and swim over to the rock it's on and climb up it. Walk over to the red marker and walk into it for a message to appear on-screen: "Purchase safehouse? Yes / No." Toggle the joystick onto the 'Yes' button and press X. You'll be deducted £100,000. After you've made the purchase, your phone will ring. Answer it.

Gerry: Yeah?

Alexandre (OS): Warren! I've been looking for you. Why haven't Nathan or I seen you lately? Come on, come put in some work already; we're sinking and losing to the Yakuza.

Gerry: Yeah I know, I've just had a lot on my plate this past week. I'll come over now, alright?

Alexandre (OS): Good man.

The line goes dead. You have now finally unlocked the Cartel's gang missions, where as before you couldn't access them. Save the game inside of the lighthouse and grab the boat which spawns outside and make your way back to shore. When on land, jack a car and speed over to Alexandre's mansion and park in the pink meter for the screen to fade to black.

Cartel War Mission; [Part One]: Tracks Ablaze

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry is standing on Alexandre's porch. He's walking around with his hands inside of his pockets. He stops at the front door again and knocks once more. His phone begins ringing and he takes it out of his trouser pocket along with his right hand.

Gerry: Yeah?

Alexandre (OS): Sorry, I forgot to tell you I was out of town with Nathan sorting some business out. We'll be back in a few days. How's everything doing down there?

Gerry: Bad. Things are going from bad to worse quickly.

Alexandre (OS): (Sighs) Sh*t. Alright, go to the base Downtown and see if any work needs to be put in. I'm out of ideas. I'm so tired of this.

Gerry: I've got an idea. The Zaibatsu transport cryo-frozen bodies from their base to the airport every few days. If I can get my hands on some real fire, we can ruin some of their plans.

Alexandre (OS): Alright, that's good. I'm trusting you with this, my friend. Go to the base and collect what you need and I'll call you later to see how it went.

Gerry: Alright.

Alexandre (OS): But, tell me...how did you know of this?

Gerry pauses and hangs the phone up and starts slowly jogging down the steps to the mansion as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

A green blip has appeared on the mini-radar for the Cartel base which is located Downtown. A message appears on-screen: "Get a Cartel Patriot." Grab one from the garages and quickly get through Gadebridge and into Downtown and park in the base driveway. The green blip was representing molotov cocktails, which are floating beside the gang's door. Get out of the car and go collect them - you'll now have 40 in your weapon inventory. A message appears on-screen: "Zaibatsu limousines transporting cryo-frozen bodies will be leaving shortly. Make sure none arrive at the airport."

You've got a minute until they begin heading out of their base, so start heading across the Heart City bridge. You'll get about half way across and then two large yellow blips will begin moving on the radar in Heart City. Start driving towards them and you'll see they're being protected by Zaibatsu Stingers, and they're going to ram you. A message appears on-screen: "Enter drive-by mode and hold the circle button with the molotov cocktails as your weapon of choice to select how much power to throw with. Release the circle button to throw. Get the molotov cocktails in both sides of the back windows."

You can scroll through certain weapons inside of the vehicle, so equip an M16 and get rid of some of the Zaibatsu Stingers before they ram your car to pieces. The limos are bullet proof, so the option for this is not possible. Ride up alongside the limousines and toss molotov cocktails into the left windows of each limo. A message will confirm if you got them inside of the limo or not.

After both left windows are done, smoke will emerge from inside of them, and another round of Stingers will come to try and ram you off the road and blow your car up. Repeat the previous cycle and throw two molotov cocktails into the right-side windows and a message will confirm if you got them inside of the limo or not. After ten seconds, the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Both of the limos are seen catching fire through the back and they both explode roughly at the same time. Gerry slows the car to a stop and watches the flames rise up through the air. He takes his phone out and dials it, then awaits a response as he puts it to his ear.

Nate (OS): Hey.

Gerry: Hey...

Nate (OS): Alexandre's in a meeting. How did things go?

Gerry: Things went well.

Nate (OS): Alright. That it?

Gerry: ...For now, Nate, yeah.

Nate (OS): ...Alright then.

Gerry hangs the phone up and tosses it on the dashboard and grips the wheel tightly after the conversation that could've been cut with a knife.

Gerry: Scumbag.

The screen fades to black as Gerry turns the ignition on.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

Mission Passed.

You're sitting inside of the Cartel Patriot from the previous mission. You still only have the Cartel gang icon on the mini-radar, so quickly head over to your motel and save the game. Go outside and get into your Banshee and speed over to Gadebridge City and to Alexandre's mansion. Park in the pink marker and the screen will fade to black.

Cartel War Mission; [Part Two]: Vehicle Shortage

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry is pacing around on the porch the same as before. After a few more seconds his cell phone rings. He takes it out of his pocket and sits down on the top step leading to Alexandre's door and takes a cigarette box from his pocket as the phone continues to ring. He looks at it for a few seconds then answers.

Gerry: Yeah?

Alexandre (OS): (Laughs) My friend, I'm sorry. I got held up down here a little longer than I expected. You're well, I hope?

Gerry: I'm good. What needs doing?

Alexandre (OS): Nate's courteously informed me that his old friends over at the Yakuza keep vehicles stored in certain garages around Green State. These vehicles, he says, are rare and valuable to the Yakuza, and very good for racing. I want one. I've told a friend to leave you something heavy at the base...I want you to destroy the rest, got it?

Gerry: Got it.

Alexandre (OS): Got it what?

Gerry: Got it, boss.

Alexandre (OS): Better.

The line goes dead as Gerry puts the phone back into his pocket. The camera fades to black with him sorting a cigarette from his pack.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY

A green blip has appeared on the mini-radar for the base Downtown. A message appears on-screen: "Go and collect the item Alexandre was talking about and go destroy the rare Yakuza cars." Grab your Banshee and get over there. When you arrive, you'll see the green blip is a heat-seeking Bazooka. Get out of the Banshee and collect it - you now have 20 rounds in your weapon inventory. Three blips have appeared on the screen, one in each major location in Green State.

Get back into the Banshee and go to the first one which is closest - Downtown. You'll arrive at a warehouse, and Yakuza members are everywhere. They won't attack you aslong as you stay in the car. Go through the warehouse in the Banshee until you see a dark red Infernus with a blue arrow hovering over it. Get out of the Banshee and you'll be under attack from Yakuza members with Uzis. Take them out and equip the Bazooka and launch a rocket at the car and it'll explode.

Get back into the car and speed out of there and onto the next one in Gadebridge City. Along the way, you'll be attacked by Yakuza Infernus' and a message appears on-screen: "The Yakuza have been alerted!" In Gadebridge City, this time it'll be at the Yakuza's gang base. You'll be under attack the moment you enter. Get out of the Banshee and equip an M16 and go through the door of the base and take down any Yakuza member who gets in your way.

Through the back of the base and outside, you'll find a dark red Infernus. Waste the half-dozen Yakuza members out there and equip the Bazooka and blow the car up. Go back through the base and there will be more Yakuza members in there. Take them all out with the M16 and go back outside, where more Yakuza members are. Take them out and get into your Banshee.

You'll be under attack from more Yakuza gang cars. Drive over to Heart City and the third car will be inside of the old car crusher yard. Yakuza are guarding the gates with M4s. Run them over quickly and the gates will open. Drive inside and run any Yakuza members you see over and at the back you'll arrive at the dark red Infernus. Get out of the car and blow it up with the Bazooka and get back inside of the Banshee and a message appears on-screen: "The final one is in New Stanford. Retrieve it for Alexandre."

A purple blip has appeared on the radar at a set of garages in New Stanford. Speed over there and along the way you'll be attacked by Infernus'. Upon arrival, Yakuza members are guarding the garages and have some snipers on the roof. Let your Banshee take some punishment, and when it catches fire, park it near a group of Yakuza men. Get out of it and run across the garages and it'll blow up.

Take out the snipers quickly and get into the car and a purple blip has appeared on the mini-radar for Alexandre's mansion. A message appears on-screen: "Take the car back to the mansion."

Start driving and you'll be under attack from more Yakuza gang cars. Cut through the countryside if you want and get down to Gadebridge City. Get to Alexandre's mansion and park in the purple marker outside the vehicle entrance gates and the screen will fade to black.

FADE IN: CUTSCENE

Gerry slowly brings the car through the open gates and rolls it down to the garages and parks it and turns the ignition off. He takes out his phone and begins dialing it, when a figure stands outside of the window. The hand knocks on the window and Gerry jumps back, dropping his phone as he does so. He starts rolling the window down and picking his phone up, and Alexandre bends down, smiling.

Alexandre: Honey, I'm home.

Alexandre hands Gerry a wad of cash.

Gerry: Scared me there.

Alexandre: Good work, son. Young Nathan will be home in a few hours after the unfortunate attack on his business. But that's now taken care of. When he arrives, come by, we'll all go out to celebrate.

Alexandre stands up from the window, but then bends down once again with a quizzical look on his face. He taps the car door lightly as he begins to speak.

Alexandre: As a matter of fact, I might need you to do one more thing before we celebrate our imminent victory. I'll call you when Nathan arrives, he may be able to help you with it.

Gerry: Alright.

Alexandre: Be well, my friend.

Alexandre stands back up as Gerry gets out of the car and closes the door and begins walking away as the screen fades to black.

FADE IN: GAME PLAY
