The game kicks off right where Heart City left us wanting more: at the beginning of 2008, and wastes no time getting underway. Gerry Wood [protagonist] recieves an anonymous phone call confirming his son has been murdered on the cold, blistering streets of Green State. He sets off to Green State to hunt for his son's killers by any means necessary. Gerry, 44, spent ten years in the marines before being forced into hiding for another ten years for killing an international drug baron. Being in the witness protection program, he was re-located from Capitol City to San Fierro. When he arrives in Green State, he realises this will be tougher than he could of ever imagined, as the entire state is on the verge of complete implosion - with new gangs pushing foward to over-ride the only organized-crime gang left: The Yakuza. Gerry will have to use every thing he has to infiltrate each gang; to get information on who the killers of his son were, and exact his fitting revenge on them. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome home. Welcome back to Heart City for the final chapter. ___________________ GANGS Gadebridge City Gangs The Yakuza - The Yakuza are the ultimate organized-crime syndicate in all of Green State, with an entire army of men. They deal in anything that can bring them into even more power over the city and/or state, and have strong ties within the media. They stay hidden and keep all of their deals to a strict minimum now that other gangs have immigrated and formed up throughout the state. Nate Barcalow assists Suni Xu, leader of The Yakuza with his duties as waka-gashira. They wear casual black clothes and carry 9mm pistols or M16 rifles, and are constantly at war with Von Siege in the city. Leader: Suni Xu Likes: Respect, loyalty, fast boats, cocaine Dislikes: Von Siege Level: Very High Gang Car: Yakuza Infernus. Von Siege - The Von Siege group are vigilantes trying to put a stop to the crime waves covering Gadebridge City. They started forming in late 2004 when crime hit a high after Nate Barcalow took over the city for The Yakuza. They gave up in late 2006 when members were scared for their safety. Since then, they've seen drastic changes in crime, and are returning to put a stop to it. The men wear navy SWAT uniforms, only without the helmets. They carry M16 Rifles. The leader of the group is Erich Von Siege, from Bogota. Leader: Erich Von Siege Likes: Anybody who is against organized crime Dislikes: Anybody who is associated with organized crime Level: High Gang Car: Navy Washington w/ light blue "V" on the passenger side door. Downtown Gangs Caribbean Cartel - The Caribbean Cartel are ruthless killers who deal in all major drugs. They can be found all over the Downtown area, usually selling drugs on street corners. The Caribbean Cartel were located in São Vingança in the Estrelabrilho Islands since 1968. In circa. 1970, the original leader who brung them into high power, Carlos Cortez, was gunned down by Alexandre Capelo. Alexandre took over the Caribbean Cartel until 1978, where he was forced to leave for unknown reasons. In 2004, with Nate Barcalow's help, he was able to flee back to his homelands, and re-establish power with the Caribbean Cartel. Alexandre has made a return to Green State, along with a newly reformed Caribbean Cartel, where they demolished the remaining Saints gang and took power in Downtown. They wear dark red hawaiian shirts, along with black trousers and brown shoes. All the members have slick back geled hair, and are usually smoking cigarettes. They carry A-91 caliber pistols and the higher members carry MP40s. Leader: Alexandre Capelo Likes: Narcotic drugs, powerful empires, organized crime, smuggling, The Yakuza - especially Nate Barcalow Dislikes: La Resistance, Von Siege, Triads Level: Very High Gang Car: Black Patriot. La Resistance - La Resistance are an all French gang, which deal in all kinds of un-organized crime, except for drugs. They are originally from Silver City in the Estrelabrilho Islands, and were there from 1977, when they took the city over from the Russians. The gang wear dark blue silk shirts and white trousers, along with black suade shoes. They have slick back geled hair, the same as the cartel. They carry around M60s and M16 Rifles. They deal mostly in weapon technology, and classic street races. The leader is Marko Devereux, and he is the son of Sylvain Devereux, a powerful French terrorist. Leader: Marko Devereux Likes: Classic street racing, weapons, weapon technology Dislikes: The Cartel, Von Siege, Cavidade Almas, All drugs Level: High Gang Car: Light Blue Esperanto w/ Dark Blue hood. Heart City Gangs The Jackson Family - The Jackson Family are the phoenix from the ashes of both The Black Hearts and The Ace of Hearts. After they both took each other out, all of the remaining members pulled together after more gangs started entering Green State. The leader is a now further aged and experienced Donny Jackson, who, along with his brother pulled the two gangs together to form a faction. The members wear grey shirts with small hearts in the middle and black trousers. They usually carry around Uzis and AK47s. The thing they like the most is the now international H-25-GO. Every month it takes to a different country. They also deal in most drugs and weapon smuggling, along with small-time robbery and arson. Leader: Donny Jackson Likes: Racing, Smuggling, Robbery, Arson Dislikes: Von Siege, The Triads Level: Very High Gang Car: Grey Kuruma. The Triads - The Green Gecko Triads are once again back in Green State after their short 'visit' in 2004, where they were demolished by Nate Barcalow. Woozie, being killed in mid-2007 by Roberto Garcia in America is no longer the leader of the Green Gecko Triads, and in his place is an unknown replacement. They deal strictly with honour and will not accept backstabbing of any kind. The gang members always carry M16 Rifles, and they're still in black & yellow gi's from Heart City Stories in 2004. Likes: Honour, cars, weapons, hand-to-hand combat Dislikes: The Jackson Family, The Yakuza, The Cartel Level: High Gang Car: Yellow PCJ 600's w/ black outlines. The Zaibatsu - The Zaibatsu have put target onto England for their corrupt ways. By any means necessary they plan to take over England beginning with Green State. They are originally from all over America and Japan, and now Green State, England. The members wear black suits with white shirts and yellow ties, along with black shades. They have a small yellow "Z" on the left front chest pocket of their suit jackets, and they always carry either silenced-9mm's or combat shotguns. The leader is unknown, and there is controversy between them and other gangs in Green State, as they are not aware if The Zaibatsu are here to start a war for power, or here for other purposes. Likes: All crime that cannot be traced Dislikes: All gangs in Green State Level: High Gang Car: Black Stingers w/ yellow "Z" on the hood. The Wasteland's Gangs The Brood - The Brood are a violent bunch of cannibalistic psychopaths who care about one thing: flesh. They originally come from Anywhere City in America, and came over here when The Zaibatsu did, for the mass rise in cadavers and corpses used by them. They wear 1600 type English ruffled white shirts and black trousers, and all the members wear black shades, in a vampire-like esque. The leader is Kristian Levisque, and he was formerly part of La Resistance. They can usually be found in Heart City between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., aswell as their base of operations in The Wastelands. Leader: Kristian Levisque Likes: Blood, out-doors/nature areas - but only between 10pm and 5am Dislikes: Every gang, sunlight Level: Very High Gang Car: Satin-black Oceanic. The Rejects - The Rejects are one of the sole surviving gangs after Sean Wood arrived in 2007. Sean worked with them before the two leaders, Joanne and Roberto were killed by Toreno's men in late 2007. Gary Strohmeyer made it out alive, but badly injured, and has since then been making a speedy recovery and taken over the gang. Now that Green State is plagued with gangs, The Rejects are close to folding. They wear random tattered clothes, usually plain white t-shirts, and they carry anything that they can find, usually glass bottles. Leader: Gary Strohmeyer Likes: Anyone down and out. Willing to give them a second chance aslong as they can return the favour, also have a mutual respect with The Renegades Dislikes: All the new gangs in Green State, especially The Brood Level: Medium Gang Car: Olive coloured Romero. New Stanford Gangs The Renegades - The Renegades were one of two remaining gangs after 2007, and were allied with Sean Wood. When Sean died, The Renegades lost immense power over Heart City. Without Sean behind them, they were running scared of the new gangs coming into the cities. Aaron Prinston was killed shortly before Sean - gang related, and Chad Prinston was arrested for first degree murder in exacting revenge for his father, and put in Saint Jacob's prison, but was murdered in there on his third day in by Caribbean Cartel members. Carlton is the sole leader of the gang, with a wiser head on his shoulders, and a mind devout to coming back along with The Rejects. The gang members usually wear torn up navy blue sweatshirts and ripped light denim jeans. They usually carry no weapons. Leader: Carlton Prinston Likes: The Rejects, power, powerful weapons, technology Dislikes: All the new gangs that have taken over Green State Level: Medium Gang Car: Navy Blue Sentinel XS ___________________ PROFILES WARNING: THIS SECTION MAY CONTAIN HEAVY SPOILERS Name: Gerry Wood [Protagonist] Introduced In: Intro Killed In: Character Information: Gerry Wood is the father of the first and original Heart City's protagonist, Sean Wood. TonyZimmzy
Good to see such hefty replies to just the beginning post of RtHC. Well, here's make or break - the introduction. This is going to be very different from the first two Heart City scripts. I was hoping for this to use the PS2 Cheat code buttons instead of writing X, circle, square, L2, R2, etc...but they don't work right. Feedback is a must, and comments are nice too. Would you rather the font be in grey or regular white? I feel grey adds a sinister lining to it, making the reader believe what's written is darker and more malicious and grim. === === === CUTSCENE "San Fierro, San Andreas: December 27th, 2007" is seen in the bottom right of the corner in plain purple coloured arial font, as the screen fades in from black. Our protagonist Gerry Wood enters through his front door and slams it shut, as the phone begins ringing. He's wearing a covered in snow business suit along with a scarf to keep himself a little warmer. He takes the scarf off and makes his way over to the ringing homephone and he picks it up. Gerry: Yeah? He loosens up his tie and awaits a response from the other end of the line. Voice (OS): Am I speaking with Gerry Wood? Gerry's face goes cold as he hears the stranger say his real-name over the phoneline. Gerry: I'm sorry, you must have the wrong number. Voice (OS): Relax, I know who you are, Gerry. This isn't a link between Santino Valentine, if that's what you're thi-- Gerry: (Clenches the phone tightly) Who the f*ck is this!? Voice (OS): I said relax. I've got some unfortunate news for you; it's your son, Sean. Gerry: Sean? What about him? Voice (OS): You've been keeping a hawk eye on him for a while, but this relates to the incident which occurred on December 19th, just eight days ago. He was murdered. Gerry swallows his tongue and runs his hand along his short-cropped hair. The line goes dead as Gerry throws the phone at the wall and rips the tie from around his neck, letting it drop to the floor. Gerry: Sean... Gerry feels his eyes well-up with tears. He walks over to his desk and opens the drawer, pulling out a brown paper bag. He slams the drawer closed and dumps the bag on the desk and begins going through it. He finds many fake passports, and a photo of himself, Sean, and an African-American boy a few years older than Sean. The picture looks to of been taken roughly ten years ago. Gerry puts the photo and the wallet in his suit pocket and goes out the door as the screen fades to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE A plane is seen coming into landing at Gadebridge City airport, as Gerry exits the airport's front doors: he's now wearing a tattered dark green shirt, brown cargo jeans, and his head is clean-shaved. He arrives at a taxi and gets in the back seat and it begins driving away. The screen then fades to black. Welcome Home FADE IN: CUTSCENE The taxi pulls up to a motel and Gerry gets outside and pays the driver. As the taxi pulls away, Gerry goes inside the motel and stops at the front desk and rings the bell. After a few moments, a young man comes through a door. Gerry: I booked a room for one under the name Warren Heights. Man: Ah, right. (Grabs a set of keys from the wall behind him and hands them over) Not got a suitcase or bag for your stay, sir? Gerry: (Begins walking away and keeps a calous straight face as he does so) I'm travelling light. Gerry stops infront of a generic brown door and puts the key in the lock and goes inside, closing the door behind him. The camera focuses on a blu-ray disc floating beside the bed. Text appears on-screen: "To save your progress, enter into the marker. Time will progress six hours each time you do so. It will also heal your health." Gerry will automatically walk into the save mark. Save your game and the screen will remain black for five seconds afterwards. FADE IN: GAME PLAY You're now in control of our new protagonist. Walk over to the door and a command will prompt: "Use the triangle button to open the door and again to close it." Press triangle and Gerry will open the door and stand still. Use the analog stick to take yourself out of the room. CUTSCENE The screen shows Gerry where you last left off at, along with a masked man slowly creeping up alongside the wall. A message appears on-screen: "Make sure to lock your door each time before you go out. You may get robbed if you don't do so." END OF CUTSCENE Text appears on-screen: "Press triangle to lock your door now." Do as it says, and you will have no fear of having any money in your inventory stolen. More text appears on-screen: "Leave your door unlocked, and you may only be robbed a few quid. But you may be robbed a few hundred, depending on how much you have!" You can walk around the motel and walk into people's rooms if they're unlocked and you may see money floating around the room. The first time you pick someone's money up, text will appear on-screen: "The longer you do this, the easier you will be caught. The room owner may find you and be carrying a melee weapon, or the local authorities may be alerted." Once you're done in the motel, walk towards the front door, where a blue arrow hovers over it. Walk over to it and press triangle to open the door and walk outside. When you do so, the screen fades to black. Seeking The Truth FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry's cellphone begins ringing. He takes it from his pocket and puts it to his ear. Gerry: Will, that you? Will: Yeah, you make it over there yet? Gerry: Yeah, arrived a little while ago. Will: Good. I'm just taking care of some business over here, then I'll come over and help you, pops. Gerry: Alright. Listen, I'm about to take care of some business myself. Take care, son. Gerry hangs the phone up. END OF CUTSCENE Text appears on-screen: "To break into a car, press triangle by the front door." A blue arrow appears over a green Nebula, giving you the hint that this is the car you need to break into. Press triangle by the front door, and a meter appears on-screen, along with text: "A meter will appear each time you attempt to break into any car. The meter will have a red dot moving back and forth very fast, and a stable white dot. The closer you get to stopping the red dot on the white dot, the less attention you will attract to yourself as you break into the car. Press the X button to stop the red dot." Try and stop the red dot as near or on top of the white dot as possible, and Gerry will simply pick the lock and enter the car. The further away the red dot is to the white dot in the meter bar, the more drastic Gerry's car jacking will be. If it's slightly away from the white dot, he'll smash the window and open the door from the inside. If it's rather far, he'll kick the window twice until it smashes and he'll climb in through the car window. If it's no where near the white dot, he'll kick at the door three times until the alarm goes off (or the driver speeds away) and fail to achieve a sucessful car jacking. When Gerry enters the car, a message will appear on-screen: "Drive to the local store." A blue circle appears on the mini-radar in the left hand corner of the screen. It'll begin flashing and text will appear on-screen: "Follow the roads to your destination. Your destination is the blue blip." More text appears on-screen: "To drive, hold the X button. To brake and reverse, hold the square button. Use L2 & R2 to look side-to-side, or both to look behind. You can also use the circle button with this to perform a 'drive-by'. Change the radio with the L1 button. Hold the R1 button to use the handbrake." The moment you begin to drive or reverse, the radio will play an automated announcement. Reporter: Welcome one and all to GSIN, Green State & International News. I'm your host, Gregory Montgomery with the latest developing International news from the United States. As of today, January 1st 2008, Vice-President Donald Love has been honoured and appointed in the chair of Presidency. As everyone will of heard by now, former President Michael Toreno was murdered here in Heart City, Green State in November of last year. We look foward to hearing from President Donald Love soon. After the report ends, make your way to the local store and park into the purple marker in the parking lot. The screen fades to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry pushes the double doors open and walks inside the store. He browses the shelf as the counter boy keeps an eye on him. The camera shows the shelf and text appears on-screen: "You can enter a local store any time to buy random items to keep in your second inventory. To access your second inventory, press the up or down button on your joypad on foot, and the left and right button on your joypad to select an item. You can also 'fuse' two or more items together to create a new item." END OF CUTSCENE You can now scroll through what they have on offer on the store shelf. Scroll through until you find a bottle of vodka. It will flash red and text will appear on-screen: "Take this item." Continue scrolling through until you find a plain white t-shirt. It will flash the same as the vodka: "Take this item, too." Scroll once more and find a box of matches, they will flash and the same text will appear: "Take this item, too." Press the X button to add them to your shopping basket. Press triangle to exit the shelf-window and a small blue marker appears at the checkout. Walk over to it and walk inside and the screen will fade to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry puts the basket on the counter and the boy takes each item out and scans them. Counter Boy: That'll be £12.37. Gerry: (Grabs the three items and puts them in a white plastic bag) I'll pay you later. Gerry begins walking away. Counter Boy: Hey! You can't do that! The counter boy pushes a panic button under the desk and an alarm sounds as Gerry goes outside and gets into his car. END OF CUTSCENE You have half a gold star filling the first gold star outline underneath your inventory and health bar. There are six outlined stars total. A message appears on-screen: "A half star means only cops locally will notice you. Head to a Pay 'N' Spray or drive around until you lose it. Each Pay 'N' Spray trip costs £100, and you currently have no money." Drive around until it goes away and a blue blip appears back at the motel. Drive back to it and drive into the purple marker in a parking space behind the motel and the screen will fade to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry gets out of the car and locks it and takes out his cellphone as he walks towards the front of the motel. He dials and goes inside, and to his room as the phone rings. He goes inside his room and recieves an answer. Gerry: Will, I'm gonna need you to send me over some money. Will: What money, pops? I ain't got any. Gerry: Work on getting some. I just had to steal a measly bottle of vodka from a local store because I don't have any. Will: You turning to the bottle? Gerry: Not likely. (Examines the bottle of vodka) I've got an idea. Work on getting some money. Gerry hangs the phone up and the screen fades to black. FADE IN: GAME PLAY Mission Passed. Oxidizer
This. Is. Awesome. Love the plot and character/organization outlines. Your writing skills have improved a hell of a lot (they were great to begin with) and everything's very easy and enjoyable to read. I'll definitely be checking back for a regular RtHC fix! TonyZimmzy
You'll be standing beside your bed. Walk into the blu-ray disc to save if you wish. If not, head towards the blue arrow above the door and open the door up and go outside. The screen will fade to black. The Arsonist FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry walks outside and goes over to the parking lot and gets inside his green Nebula. He starts it up and reverses out of the spot and drives towards the exit. END OF CUTSCENE The car is at the exit of the motel parking lot. A blue blip is on the radar and a message appears on-screen: "Drive to the police station." Do as the message tells you, and follow the blip to the radar. You'll arrive at the police station, but the blip is behind it. A message appears on-screen: "Use alleyways and roads not seen on the mini-radar to gain access to new places or for shortcuts." Get out of the car and run through the alleyway on foot. Enter into the purple marker when you get there and the screen will fade to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE The screen shows police officers inside of a busy precinct, and then the camera zooms through the hallway and to the back window, which is open, and an office with two female police officers is shown. The camera pans up and goes through the window to reveal Gerry standing outside of it. END OF CUTSCENE A message appears on-screen: "Access your second inventory." Do so. Another message appears on-screen: "To mix and match two or more items, select the item and press X, then scroll onto the item which you wish to fuse it with and press X again. Do so with the bottle of vodka and the t-shirt now." When you select the bottle of vodka, you'll hold it in your hand - but you cannot use it as a melee weapon, as it is in your second inventory. Also, the item selected in your inventory will flash red. Select the t-shirt next and press X, and Gerry will begin to move on his own. Gerry opens the bottle of vodka and pours some of it on the floor, then takes a swig for himself. He sets it down on the floor and takes the t-shirt and rips the bottom half of it off and tosses the other half onto the floor. Gerry sticks the ripped t-shirt into the neck of the bottle. You now have this item in your second inventory. Text appears on-screen: "Now, use the modified item with the box of matches." Do as the text tells you to do, and select the bottle of vodka and then select the matches. Gerry once again begins moving on his own, and he sets the bottle down on the floor and strikes a match. He puts the box into his back pocket and picks up the bottle of vodka then proceeds to light the ripped t-shirt until it catches fire. Text appears on-screen: "Take aim and launch the bottle through the open window. Use the circle button to select the power of your throw." You can't possibly miss this throw - the game won't allow it. When you throw the bottle, it'll go through the window and the screen will fade to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE The camera focuses on the room where the two female police officers are. The bottle flies through the window and smashes on the floor, and flames begin to rise and fire engulfs the small office. The smoke alarms sound, and police begin rushing to the fire exit or front door. END OF CUTSCENE Text appears on-screen: "Go inside the police station." A blue blip appears on the mini-radar for inside the police station. Run back through the alley and go inside the already open front door and the camera's vision will become foggy and dark. The mini-radar is also now hazy - the only item showing on it is the blue blip. Find your own way through the police station and the office you need to find is on the second floor. Find the stairs and go up them - this is what the blue blip was for, and now it will disappear. Text will appear on-screen: "Find the correct office and retrieve the information you came for." Make your way to the office. When you enter the right office, the screen will fade to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry accesses the police computer through all the black smoke. He quickly prints some pages of information off and runs over to the printer and collects them all. END OF CUTSCENE Text appears on-screen: "Hurry up and find your way out before you're trapped inside." The mini-radar only shows a blue downward triangle for the fire exit. Make your way to it and exit the building. Text will appear on-screen: "Get back to the motel." Go and find your green Nebula and make your way back to the motel, which is shown as a blue blip on the mini-radar. Park in the parking lot space designated for you and the screen will fade to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry gets out of the Nebula and walks out of the parking lot. He watches as fire engines roar past and he goes inside of the motel and to his room. He puts the sheets of information down on the counter and he takes out his cellphone and dials it. Gerry: Son, did you make any money yet? Will (OS): I can't just make money grow outta my ass. Gerry: Alright. I've got a way to make some money and possibly find out some information on Sean's murder...but it's risky. Gerry starts examining the sheets of paper. Gerry: I've got information to every gang, past and present in every city of this state. I'm gonna need to get close to each and every one of them to find out the information we need. Will (OS): Pops, playing gangs off against each other isn't just risky, it's straight suicide. Gerry: When I came here I knew I might not be leaving alive. I'll call you soon. Gerry hangs the phone up and begins looking through each sheet of paper as the screen fades to black. FADE IN: GAME PLAY Mission Passed. TonyZimmzy
Hey Tony I have a question for you. I am not understanding who is Will? Can you please explain? I also love your storys. Sure. At the beginning of the game, Gerry takes out a photo and on it is himself, Sean and an African-American boy. In the game, he calls Will his son, so I implied this was him. Quick update: I'm only about seven missions into this, it's going much slower than the last two because I'm putting a lot of thought into every action and reaction into everything. I have everything planned out, loosely. I'm basically trying for a modified GTA2 storyline here.
longkissgoodnight
Hey Tony I have an idea for you to work on. You said you are opened to ideas. Oxidizer
I left feedback for the 2nd chapter! But I didn't! Because apparently it's not there! Which means I must've either thought I did or I was going to but didn't! In conclusion: I suck! Again! Right. What can I say? This is by far my favorite script-type fanfic, dude. It's really easy to get into and some of the phrases/descriptions used - they make me look dull in comparison (I can only come off as clever on occassion 'cause I use big words, which, half of the time, I don't know what they f*ckin' mean). Oh, and props for having a gang of bloodthirsty and cannibalistic psychopaths as one of your gangs! That's just sheer brilliance, and I can't wait to see those whacked out fellas! TonyZimmzy
Thanks for the replies. Roberto (Cubanwhip) is already working on a follow-up to his story, but at the rate he's going I don't know when it will see the light of day. He sent me some of it half a year ago, and it's insanely good. <3 Oxi. Update: I've now planned everything out; I just need to write the missions out, which to be fair is the hardest part . === === === You're standing by the dresser and there is now a pin-up board on the wall. A message appears on-screen: "Press triangle to access the board." Press triangle and the screen will show all the sheets of paper pinned up on the board. Another message appears on-screen: "Use the right analog stick to move the camera." On each sheet of paper are photos of gang hide outs, a photo of the gang's car, and their dislikes and likes, and other bits of random information about their history and such. When you leave the joystick alone for a second or two, the sheet of paper closest to the center of the screen will flash red, and a message appears on-screen: "Press X to take this sheet of paper." When you take the sheet of paper, it will disappear from the board, and for whatever gang information was on that sheet of paper, will now have that gang's logo on the mini-radar. Also, some gangs can give harder missions than others. If you select The Yakuza, a message will appear on-screen: "You are not able to perform this operation yet." We will do the easiest to the hardest gangs, in order. First, we're going to stay local and take the Von Siege of Gadebridge City's fact sheet. A navy-blue shield will appear on the mini-radar for somewhere in Gadebridge City, and when you access your menu with the start button, you can view the sheet of paper in the 'Gang List' section, to read over again if you wish. Exit your motel room, and don't worry about locking up, seeing as you still have no money and go outside. You're free to roam and do whatever you wish, but that navy-blue shield on the mini-radar will always be there, instigating this is the first gang mission you wish to do. Maybe you wish to jack a taxi and go make some money, or do paramedic, police or firetruck missions first, if not, go around into the parking lot and grab your always spawning green Nebula (this is the car you're supposed to use throughout the game, even if you don't want to) and start driving towards the navy-blue shield for the Von Siege gang. When you enter any vehicle after instigating your first gang mission, a radio announcement will play. Reporter: Gregory Montgomery here for local and wide-state news on this cold January day. Today, all bridges have been re-opened after a blizzard scare. Governor Miles and Chancellor Gordan value the safety of each and every Green State resident, and would take no risks of causing harm to any residents by leaving bridges open to each city during a blizzard. That's all for today, Gregory Montgomery signing off. Every bridge is now accessable to every city. You'll arrive at a run-down warehouse on the outskirts of the industrial estates, north-east of The Wastelands, and there's a dark blue marker outside of a tightly clamped and locked-down steel door - the only entrance and exit into Von Siege's base of operations. Walk into the dark blue marker to begin, and the screen will fade to black. Von Siege FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry bangs on the steel door and puts his hands in his pockets, standing around and awaiting an answer. A tall African-American man slowly opens the door and looks to his left then his right and then at Gerry. Man: And you are? Gerry: Warren. Look, (Leans in closer and lowers his vocal tone) I'm new in town; I was a police officer over in Welton State, and the force kicked me off for taking things one step too far on sorting gang-crime out. That's when I knew I had to come here, to join up with you guys. Man: (Smiles) Well, we're always welcoming new recruits. Come on inside and have a look around. (Steps aside) Gerry: (Walks inside) Thanks. Gerry walks inside the base and glances at all the Von Siege members, each in SWAT uniforms, minus the helmets, and all looking rather busy. Man: My name's Tank, I've known Erich for a few years and I help out where I can. Make yourself comfortable and I'll go get Raphael, he heads up the recruits. Gerry: Alright. (Takes a seat) A few moments pass as the screen pans around the room, showing Von Siege vigilantes working on various projects. A young Jamaican slowly walks over to Gerry, who stands to his feet. Raphael: Tank tells me you lookin' to put an en' to tha' joyridin crime f*ckin' up these streets, eh? Gerry: That's right. (Offers a handshake) My name is Warren, ex-forces and ex-squaddie. Raphael: Yeah, yeah, Tank filled me in mate. Recruiting doesn't come easy you know. Gerry: I'll do what it takes to prove myself. Raphael: Aiight. Let's set you up wi' sumin' basic. We were gonna send a recruit to do this as his third job, but we'll line his pockets up wi' sumin' else instead. (Reaches into his back pocket and hands Gerry a folded up piece of paper) All tha' details are on here. Report back to us when you're done, mate. Gerry looks over the piece of paper and smiles and starts walking away as the screen fades to black. FADE IN: GAME PLAY You're standing back outside of Von Siege's base. Your Nebula is infront of you, and text appears on-screen: "Raphael expects you to stop a couple of dope dealers at the address given in The Wastelands. Make sure you stop them by any means necessary." Three yellow blips appear on the radar south in The Wastelands. Get into the Nebula and make your way into The Wastelands. Drive towards the stationary blips and you'll see they're inside of a narrow alleyway. The car won't fit through it, so get out and start walking in. CUTSCENE The camera focuses on the three youths, each sitting on BMX bikes in grey hooded sweatshirts and jeans. Youth: You know that joker, blood? f*ckin' nut him next time he tries that f*ckin' sh*t. Youth #2: Ye' mate, don't take no sh*t off'a no mother f*cker, bro. Youth #3: Right, I'm just a little new to this is all... Gerry begins walking towards them. Youth #2: Oi, what you need ol' dog? Skunk? It's cut, yeah. Gerry grabs the throat of the third youth and breaks his neck, as the youth falls from his BMX and onto the floor. Both the remaining drug dealers begin pedaling away. END OF CUTSCENE A purple arrow hovers over the BMX on the floor beside the dead youth. Pick it up and get on it. Text appears on-screen: "Chase down the remaining drug dealers on the BMX. To pedal, hold X. To pedal fast, tap X - this will only last for a limited period of time. Press the circle button to throw a punch whilst on the bike, and hold circle to grab." Chase the two youths down, which are going around in circles of the street where the alleyway is. Once you get behind one, press circle to simply knock him off the bike or hold circle to grab him then launch him off the bike. When both are down, the screen will fade to black. FADE IN: CUTSCENE Gerry stands above the downed youth who is breathing heavily. Gerry: Hand it over, kid. The youth doesn't hesitate to hand the bag of drugs over to Gerry. Gerry: You shouldn't be pushing this crap in the first place, let alone at your age. Now get outta here, and don't let me catch you selling this again. The youth gets to his feet and picks up his BMX and speeds away. END OF CUTSCENE A blue blip appears back at the Von Siege base. Go around the corner and get into your green Nebula and drive back to it and into the designated marker. CUTSCENE Gerry is sitting in the car and Tank opens the steel door and gives Gerry a nod and goes back inside. Raphael then comes out and strolls over casually and leans against Gerry's window, grinning. Gerry: (Hands over the bag of dope) Kids just needed a father figure to give 'em a lecture, nothing to worry about. Raphael: (Laughs) Good man, Warren, good man indeed. Induction into Von Siege ain't over yet, though we feel you're gonna sail righ'tru. (Grins) Yeah, man. Sail righ'tru indeed. Here's sumin' from me to you, brudda. Raphael hands Gerry some money and turns around and begins walking back towards the base as the screen fades to black. FADE IN: GAME PLAY Mission Passed. Respect: Von Siege (+1) Pay: £150.
