Brutuz Posted December 4, 2007 Share Posted December 4, 2007 I'm running Vista now, just as fast as XP, and the only problem is sometimes Vista thinks that when your clicking in the game (Say, attacking an enemie in Oblivion) that your clicking icons on the desktop. Statutory Ray Posted December 5, 2007 Share Posted December 5, 2007 Vista's kinda not a sucessor to XP. It's a successor to Windows 2000. XP was a successor to Windows ME. Get it? What? XP was the successor to 2000, which was the successor to NT 4.0. ME was based on the 9x kernel, and is technically just Win 98 (first edition) with 2000's interface. Well as long as your "special" version of XP can pass the validation tool thing and you can update through Windows Update then it should work. EmSixTeen Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 I just can't get over Vista's search feature. You type in a word and it finds it in a second, compared to XP which takes a lot longer. I just did a search for "Textpad" and it took 16 seconds. How can it be so fast!? You only think it's fast because XP's search function was slow. I used to use Google Desktop Search when it came out, I found it really handy with Firefox quick searches.. Gave up on that now though, no need as I organise my things properly.
