Ring_of_Fire
Alright Platinum Card, go and take your computer to the repair shop and tell me if the techician fixed your problem... The fun I had in this thread was that I figured out your laptop model.
Platinum Card
I apologize 4 making things so difficult, and I really appreciate the help that you've all given me. I'll take to a shop and report back what happened.~ Right now i'm trying to update the bios using my flash drive. I downloaded and extracted the files on a blank drive. Would I keep the files in the folder their in or just put the the iso on the drive? Edited December 7, 2007 by Platinum Card

The thread starter listened! Anyway, direct me the Gateway link where you got the BIOS from first because I want to know if you knew how to locate the correct model number for your laptop. Would I keep the files in the folder their in or just put the the iso on the drive? Wasn't there a "How to Download" and "How to Install" link on the Gateway support website? Smallo92
sounds an awful lot like this laptop was stolen.
Ring_of_Fire
Nero is gonna give you a hard time with all the bundled crap that steals your hard drive space. Download Alcohol 120% and burn the C:\Cabs\8305\BIOS-8305.ISO to a recordable disc uning the "Image Burning Wizard" as stated here -> http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers...a/bios/8305.txt Edited December 8, 2007 by Ring_of_Fire
