Hello everyone. Thats my frst post. Im a big fan of GTA and i have pretty big collection of diffrent versions of GTA. What is the rarest version of GTA III for a PS2? anyone know? im collecting every version of cover which was relased. For example Italian version is diffrent thank european  there is only sign GTA III not the GRAND THEFT AUTO III

Wouldn't know for sure, but I know all PS2 NTSC 3DUniverse games are pretty popular and collectible. There's a significant demand for PC versions as well, so could be one of those actually. Maybe it's the UK edition with the black case?

I haven't had the chance to see the one you mentioned though.

Im collecting GTA from if i good remember 7 years. For a sample im showing my collection of GTA 3 for a PS2 which i think is almost complete. I dont have yet Platinum version of italian cover and one from USA - Greateet Game. In the shipping is another japanesse version

 

It is possible to create an own topic with my collection on this subforum? I want to reactivate my channel on YT with showing my collection. Of course without my commentary. Only to show GTA

Yes sir. It was 61 USD. I think it's worth considering it is the first version.

You lucked out, I got mine mint sealed for 100 USD. Theyre rare AF, trust me these copies are worth 300 USD or more. Since its the long card version and its V.1.00. you dont find many of these on the webs, keep it for life or sell it for a hefty margin.

I was lucky with SA to be honest. I got also the PS2 Special Edition for 90 USD, it's still sealed and in great conditions. I thought it was worth since this game is epic.

 

In fact, I paid less for GTA IV's Special Edition for the PS3, and it comes with the GTA IV license plate (sealed together with the box), I guess it is a preorder unit. It was 75 USD.

Did anyone see that 180 page blue document detailing the pre release development of GTA 3, ( had a section named "Darkel mission") i missed out on it unfortuneately.....this dates back to December 29th 2000, sold for 1025 Dollars!!

OH @RIDE2DAY  when did you purchase that PS3 IV copy SE? I wanted one on eBay I saw it but some one had bought it. I dont know if it was that one because I didnt see the LC plate come with it. OH I hope some shares that GTA 3 book, but I doubt it. f*cking assholes gonna keep it to themselves with all that info just because they paid for it.

I do have some shots of it, i was second in line to get it but some guy beat me to it, i don't know exactly who. The guy who sold this aquired this in Vancouver apparently, when rockstar games had their office there. Defineately one of the rarest pieces i have seen, i would not be surprised if reps from Rockstar Games actually were the ones who bought it back from the guy, that section which details the Darkel missions not alot of people know about.This is the pre 9/11 version of GTA III
